Brockmans Gin – Cocktails for all Seasons
March 16, 2019
A stylish gin cocktail book has launched – but you won’t be able to buy one for love nor money. The limited edition book of cocktails is published by Brockmans Gin – one of the UK’s fastest growing super-premium gins.
The Black Book of Gin Cocktails is a lavishly illustrated, limited edition ‘book of the night’ containing a collection of over 40 exquisite gin cocktails, all inspired by the black bottle and unique taste of Brockmans.
Brockmans Gin, the ‘gin like no other’, is a 40% ABV gin which is distilled in England using botanicals from around the world. This is a truly international brand and is available in 40 countries.
Brockmans is distinctively different. The top note of Bulgarian coriander has an aromatic, gingery orange flavour, which marries beautifully with the softer, more rounded harmonies of blueberries and blackberries and the middle note created by juniper berries from Tuscany. This inspired combination, together with the dry, bitter-sweet peel of Valencian oranges, elongates the deeper tones and gives Brockmans an intensely smooth taste. It’s so smooth you can drink it neat.
The book contains seasonal contemporary cocktail creations all designed to complement the 11 botanicals in Brockmans. However, we mustn’t forget the favourite classic serves and so it also covers the important matter of creating a Perfect Serve G&T and pouring an impeccable Gin Martini, Brockmans style, as well as mixing twists on classics such as the Negroni and the Aviation. There are opportunities to win copies of this book by visiting Brockmans Gin
The book shows that making the Perfect Serve Brockmans Gin & Tonic is easy as long as you follow some simple rules.
Brockmans Gin & Tonic with a Pink Grapefruit Twist, fill a chilled glass with large ice cubes – this prevents the ice melting and watering down the gin, pour in 50ml of Brockmans Gin, add good quality, chilled tonic water by pouring carefully down a swizzle spoon to preserve the effervescence, add a twist of pink grapefruit peel, finish with a garnish of fresh blueberries.
Another classic recipe from The Black Book of Gin Cocktails is The Negroni:
30ml Brockmans Gin
30ml Rosso Red Vermouth
Add the gin, red vermouth and Campari into a shaker with a handful of ice, shake and strain into an ice cube filled old fashioned glass and give it a stir. Serve with an orange slice.
