Chucs Belgravia is the latest addition to the luxury Italian dining group

What a great way to spend a Sunday lunchtime, Chucs Belgravia.

We had a lovely table, but actually the restaurant is so well designed that all tables were great. The diners were all happily indulging in delicious authentic Italian dishes. The ambience in the restaurant was relaxed and buzzy and it seemed a most popular eatery. The restaurant also features a large wrap-around terrace where guests can sip coffee alfresco or unwind over cocktails, it is a superb spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner, inside or out.

We began our lunch with a couple of Bellinis, while we perused the menu, the main menu was interesting and featured several vegan and vegetarian options, all of the dishes sounded gorgeous, so we had a little sneak-peak at our fellow diners to help us decide.

After a little while and with a little help from our waiter we decided on a fresh and colourful salad of grapes, tarragon and salted ricotta and the Chucs cobb salad with smoked salmon. We shared the dishes and enjoyed both equally, both starters were delicious and light, seasoned to perfection. These dishes were presented on pretty tableware which always adds to the dining experience.

Our main course was sublime, I decided to go for the roast Cornish monkfish with chickpea and clam Guazzetto, the fish was soft and fresh. My husband was quite hungry so decided to go for the classic Chucs burger, the meat was juicy and cooked to his particular perfection, medium-rare, the fries were steaming hot and the salad delicious. We had a couple of side dishes, a winter salad with parmesan and a sherry vinaigrette and some zucchini fritti, the ideal accompaniment to go with both main courses.

Every single part of this lunchtime treat was superb, from the moment we were greeted to the very last moment when we were escorted to the door, where we were offered help to find a taxi. To make our visit even more amazing our dog was welcomed with open arms, lots of cuddles and a water bowl.

Before leaving though we did indulge in a dessert. I love chocolate mousse and it was served with cocoa nibs and blood orange sauce, it was creamy and rich, not to mention pretty. My other half chose the classic Chucs tiramisu, it was presented beautifully, layered to perfection with just the right amount of alcohol, for him. We enjoyed all three courses, it was a feast never to be forgotten.

We both felt really privileged to have been invited to dine at Chucs Belgravia and it is a wonderful addition to the Chucs group.

The ambience, the cuisine, the waiting staff, the decor and the general restaurant design was absolutely superb in every way. For us, this was a 10/10 and we will be returning.
