EAST INDIA COMPANY GIN, re-imagine your love of a fine gin
February 13, 2018
If there was a collaboration that was made for me…it would be this one. As a partner of Luxuria Lifestyle Magazine, I was lucky enough to be sent some East India Company gin to review and my goodness this stuff did not disappoint.
‘The East India Company Gin is a celebration of our pioneering spirit of adventure, diversity and collaboration’. This exceptional London Dry Gin is made extraordinary through the infusion of specially selected botanicals, first shared with the world through their shipping lines more than 400 years ago.
When a company goes above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience from beginning (receiving the package) to end (passed out on the sofa after 1 too many gins) it makes you want to go back and that was how I was made to feel. Besides from the fact that the Gin tastes so good, the love and respect that went into the packaging of this item is enough to make me come back without even trying it. It comes in a beautiful red box engraved with information about the company and the gin, packed full of little cards of cocktail ideas, alongside a personalised note and of course the gin! The bottle itself is reminiscent of fine white bone China and I am now using it (empty) as home decor as it really is that beautiful.
Lets get to the good bit…the Gin! I poured mine over ice, accompanied with elderflower tonic water and garnished with strawberries. I really wanted to taste the gin which is why I didn’t create a cocktail concoction of some sort. It has elements of citrus oil, nutmeg, cocoa and ginger and I can tell you this was the nicest Gin I have ever tried…I even went to a Gin festival last year where I tried around 50 Gins! It was not harsh on your throat and you can genuinely taste the hard work that has gone into creating this amazing luxury product. We drank the whole bottle in one night as we honestly could not stop and it went down so nicely, plus no hangover in the morning!
I think this is such a lovely treat for yourself or it would make a beautiful gift for a loved one. The box and everything that goes into this is pure luxury and looks very expensive although you can pick this up for around £35. As an avid gin drinker I will be purchasing this again, goodbye Bombay, Gordon’s and Hendricks.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed drinking it!
