EC1, super duper Super City Aparthotel living
November 28, 2013
Supercity’s newest aparthotel in Clerkenwell has 58 luxurious suites in the heart of London, which you will be happy to call home during your stay. With Farringdon and Chancery Lane tube stations only a five minute walk away, travel to all the major attractions and business centres of central London is incredibly quick and easy.
We arrived and checked in with luggage that looked as if we were staying a fortnight, more’s the pity, we only had a one night stay planned. But in the UK you can never be sure of the weather, one minute hail stones, the next brilliant blue skies and as we were shopping, chilling, eating and clubbing, need I say more, one overnight bag just would not suffice.
The Rosebery’s suites, are all fully furnished serviced apartments including luxurious bathrooms, fully fitted kitchens, air conditioning and the totally essential iPod dock. Guests staying at The Rosebery can also enjoy Supercity’s complimentary wi-fi, weekly maid service and daily concierge.
The full length windows give a panoramic view over London, it’s fabulous to just sit and enjoy the scene before you. The living space in The Rosebery Suites Aparthotel is spacious and well designed for extremely comfortable living. All of the furnishing were of a very high quality ensuring complete comfort. The kitchen gadgetry was impressive as well, everything you could ever possibly need was to hand. The linen and towels were beautifully soft and luxurious feeling. All in all, the apartment was well equipped, homely but trendy and provided us with a lovely break away from our uni studies.
A quick cup of tea, a check of the emails, a shower in the super-lux, contemporary bathroom and we were on our way.
The Ckerkenwell, Rosebery Suites were perfect for a spot of shopping, Chancery Lane is a great street for pottering along, with a wealth of antique shops, jewellers and cafes. We sauntered for a couple of hours, picked up some nibbles and a bottle of bubbly, as you do, for pre-dinner and took a slow relaxed stroll back to The Rosebery Aparthotel. We popped the bubbly in the fridge and prepared our nibbles on the lovely contemporary crockery. The apartment was a tranquil and relaxing place to hangout prior to going for dinner, actually on another ocassion we would have taken the opportunity to stay in, taking advantage of the home-from-home facilities, cooking our favourite meal and listening to great music on the iPod dock. Still, Jimmy Choos on and ready for action, we made our way to the nearest taxi rank…well you didn’t think we were going to actually walk in our mega heels did you?!
Fast forward several hours, 8 to be exact, we’d enjoyed a fabulous Japanese meal, several cocktails and lot of dancing, time for bed. We are sorry to say, 3am is just too late to remove make-up, but we did remember to put water next to the bed. We slept like 2 princesses, the bed was large and comfortable with fabulously soft linen, I don’t think an elephant spurting water would have awoken us!
Our stay at this stunning aparthotel was short lived, we have already booked to return between Christmas and the New Year for a chill out and detox, although we doubt the detox will actually happen! We packed our bags and reluctantly checked out, feeling thrilled to have experienced the stunning Rosebery Suites, but sad to be leaving.
