Taking advantage of the VVIP fast track package on arrival at the Mahe International Airport we experienced a smooth, worry-free transition to the VIP lounge. Privately escorted, bypassing the standard customs and immigration procedures, the exclusive service offers assistance with passport control, baggage collection and customs clearance, allowing us to sit back, relax and really start enjoying the vacation from the moment you arrive.

While in the lounge we discovered full internet connectivity , fruit baskets, light refreshments, hot and cold drinks all delivered by friendly, helpful staff. Although the service allows for immediate enjoyment, the process is completed in a timely fashion of less than 30 minutes where we were taken by limousine onward to Silhouette Island. Here there are two options to complete the journey either by a scenic 15-minute Helicopter ride from Seychelles International Airport or a 45-minute boat trip on board of one of their fantastic resort’s private boats. As we had a short comfortable 3hr flight from Dubai with Air Seychelles we had already decided to take the boat option.

The limousine brought us in just 20 minutes to the Luxurious Bel Ombre jetty lounge. While the boat was being prepared, a team of staff worked on welcoming us with a glass of champagne and taking our information for hotel check-in. The whole arrival experience could not be faulted and within moments we were traveling through tropical clear blues waters to our first destination the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa.

Located 20km northwest of Mahé and set against the dramatic background of a 751m Mount Dauban on Silhouette Island, the natural environment of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is rich in nature and provides the ideal environment for the unique wildlife of the Seychelles. As the only resort on the island, and with over 93% of Silhouette designated as National Park, the interior of the island emanates an untouched, natural beauty.

What we encountered as we approached the dock was simply “out-of-this-world” around 20-30 hotel staff dressed in local costumes, singing, dancing and waving to us which immediately made us feel welcome and ready to enjoy and experience an wonderful time at the resort

The Island is home to a huge diversity of indigenous fauna and flora. Rare species on the island include the incense tree and sheaf tailed bat. The highest summit is Mount Dauban (740m), which is surrounded by a virgin rain forest full of botanical treasures such as the rare pitcher-plant, orchids, rare hardwoods and incense tree which gave us great opportunity to get some pictures for the instagram account.

Our personal butler guided us around the resort, highlighting the wide variety of restaurants, the stunning spa, facilities and accommodations to choose from.

The real jewel in the crown is the magnificent Silhouette Estate offering panoramic views of the Indian Ocean which was totally mesmerizing. Guests can also choose from four spacious and peaceful villa categories, from Garden Villas, to Beachfront Villas to Deluxe Hillside Pool Villas and Deluxe Beachfront Pool Villas.

We were accommodated in the King Beachfront Villa to wake up to views of the sun rising over the Indian Ocean from the comfort of our 101 sqm (1,080 sq ft) beachside villa. Discretely nestled amongst the lush jungle vegetation, 1 of 63 King Beachfront Villas of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa are steps away from the white sandy beach. Allowing us to unwind in the spacious bedrooms or laze in the sun on our private patio overlooking the sea and listen to the sound of the waves of the turquoise ocean.

One key feature of the suite was the invigorating private outdoor rain shower. The spacious bedroom features a plush sofa and working desk. The bathrooms have a separate bathtub, walk-in shower and open up onto a private garden complete with outdoor shower and beach view. The Beachfront Villas are right on the beach and each villa is equipped with modern conveniences such as WiFi, flat screen TVs and DVD players for those rare moments in.

The Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa offers an unparalleled choice of dining experiences as well as a wide range of leisure activities including exploratory nature hikes, diving, fishing and romantic sunset cruises. Families, nature lovers, divers, adventure-seekers and romantics can all find a haven at the island.

After three days of complete luxury in this tranquil setting we waived good bye to the wonderful staff and headed back to Mahe Island. Again, traveling on their superb boats we approached the Bel Ombre jetty lounge to be welcomed by the staff from the Hilton Seychelles who transported us to the next leg of trip.

On arrival at the Hilton Seychelles Nothholme Resort & Spa, we discovered many years of history as the resort was opened more than 100 years before. Checking in to the incredible Hillside Villa, perched on stilts gave an enormous sense of calm with only the sounds of nature in the distance to make us truly aware of where we were. You really can see the inspiration Ian flemming had when he wrote “for your eyes only” at this very resort many years ago.

The amazing Northolme resort captured our attention immediately with an array of attractions to keep us occupied and enjoy the delights of the geography around us. We experienced a first class cookery course where you can learn to cook with top class chefs from all around the world, this is definitely recommended for all the foodies amongst us. The Spa is exceptional and the staff makes you feel incredible, we truly did not want to leave.

We highly recommend all that the both of the Hilton Hotels have to offer in Seychelles for a remarkably luxurious get-a-way break.
