Park Plaza London Riverbank
We had a most memorable stay at this truly fabulously chic, stylish and perfectly refined hotel. We stayed on th 14th floor in a magnificent spacious and comfortable suite, with a spectacular view of the Houses of Parliament and Millbank and is ideally situated in the very heart of our cultural and exciting city. It is located on the south of the River Thames with Big Ben, the London Eye and much more on your doorstep. As well as being in easy reach of both London Waterloo and Vauxhall railways stations.
We settled into our stunning suite with some rather special complimentary pastries, fruit and bubbly, actually we could quite easily have languished there all evening, enjoying the ever changing view from day to night, with the London skyline and sparkling lights providing a wonderful vista, but we were dining in the extremely smart hotel restaurant Chino Latino, contrary to what the name implied this eatery served finest and most imaginative cuisine in Europe. Modern Pan-Asian cuisine rubbing shoulders with Latin cocktails. The concept of love, share and enjoy, has found favour with customers, leading to some rather prestigious and well deserved awards.
We allowed the waiter to make informed cuisine choices for us. We enjoyed a set tasting menu, of Sushi and Sashimi, crispy duck spring rolls, vegetable tempura, seared salmon, pork belly and beef fillet. The dishes were presented with artistic flair and were perfectly delicious and fresh. The service was fun and friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was sophisticated but buzzy. We had a fabulous evening, our fellow diners looked to be having a blast too.
Following our lovely Pan-Asian feast we retired with a coffee to our suite to take in the late evening scene from our balcony, wrapped in blankets, and finally fell into our superKing size bed to sleep like babies.
Our morning was extra special, breakfast was a real treat, fruit, fresh soft pastries and steaming hot English breakfast goodies, with proper coffee, the perfect start to our busy day of meetings, sadly it was time to leave, but I feel we will be back.
