January 24, 2019
From sequin-blazered boybands and feathered dancers, to rhinestone-sparkling acrobats and corks popping in every direction – racy and raucous cabaret club Lio London adds a hefty dose of hedonism to the capital.
About to kick off a a six-week residency at the London Cabaret Club, Ibiza’s wildest night has already sold out – so organisers just added more dates. Beginning on 21 February and running through March, the dancing and debauchery carries on late into the night in a swanky space just beneath the bustling streets of London’s Bloomsbury Square. A legend in Ibiza, Lio has attracted a host of celebrity revellers including Beyonce and Jay Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gerry Butler and Eva Longoria.
Born in 2011, Lío London is part of the Pacha Group, with Pacha Ibiza and is the dreamchild of visionaries looking to create a dazzling night that effortlessly combined gastronomy, theatre and clubbing. Pairing world-class cabaret with Ibiza’s best DJs and world-class cuisine, it’s al once in a lifetime mix of glamour, gluttony and giddiness.
And with Burlesque, dancers, singers, clowns and live acrobats all running around – guests may be happily surprised to discover that the action is by no means restricted to the stage. Not for the shy and retiring, Lio is wildly fun and completely immersive and has you up and dancing in no time.
The food is spectacular, think zesty Sea Bream Ceviche with lime juice, coriander and fiery chilli, Lio Classic Hawaiian Poke Bowl, with fresh fish and crispy seaweed, or the decadent Eat Me, I’m Caviar – a bouji bread ball stuffed with caviar and crème fraiche.
Running four nights a week, Lio lovers can expect a delectable three-(or-four-or-more)-course immersive dining experience, a live cabaret show, and dancing into the night with Ibiza’s hottest DJs. A reservation includes set menu and the Lío show experience, and costs from £180pp
