The fabric arrives in West Sussex where Heirlooms team of highly skilled cutters, machinists and embroiderers craft the linens into the final products for their clients. Heirlooms recently created a Home Collection Catalogue of ready-made and made-to-order linens to bring greater access to a wider international client base. Taking inspiration from world-class designers we selected a range of popular designs for clients who wanted a readily available range before indulging in creating their own unique bespoke design.

It is a great privilege to bring the very best quality of fabrics to our clients so they too can experience what it feels to have truly great linens and we never take that for granted.

What are the biggest challenges of 2020 and how will you be rising to them?

When we started looking at the year ahead last year to 2020 who would have thought we would be in the midst of a global pandemic. Our businesses have all had to change and adapt within days and there will be more challenges to come. But as Darwin says it’s not the strongest that survive but those most responsive to change. Our challenges had been the influx of lesser quality materials on the high street and a buy now and discard later society. But the pandemic has changed people’s mindsets and they are now more than ever understanding that quality and excellence is something that should be invested in for the future. To meet the needs of our clients who have more urgent needs the creation of the Home Collection offers a capsule range of our most popular finishing styles that are available for immediate dispatch. The products are made using exactly the same high fabrics and precision in manufacturing. Our investments over the last 3 years in our manufacturing processes are enabling us to meet that growing demand.

Can you define what you are celebrating this year about being a British brand?

As a British manufacturer, we are immensely proud to be the only linen company to have been awarded the Royal Warrants to both Her Majesty the Queen (2005) and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales (2012). The essence of those warrants is based on service, quality, excellence and honesty. These values are at the core of our business ensuring we uphold the very best of British craftsmanship and professionalism.

In today’s society that is much more aware of sustainability and environmental factors, Heirlooms, through our Royal Warrant Association and the foresight of HRH the Prince of Wales, has for the last 10 years been integrating such principles into our everyday working environment and those of our materials suppliers.

What are you feeling most positive and optimistic about in terms of your brand’s development and growth in 2020?

All successful brands know that there is no such thing as an overnight success! It takes years of dedication, determination and the constant pursuit of excellence and perfection to develop a world-class brand.
