Long before humans reached the remote island of Iceland, a massive volcanic eruption occurred, creating the Ölfus Spring deep below the earth’s surface. For 5,000 years, water has filtered slowly through layers of lava rock, creating exceptionally pure and naturally alkaline water with the perfect mineral balance. At 7,688 sq. ft., our world-class facility is one of the world’s greenest and cleanest. Fully automated and hands-free, the facility is capable of producing up to 30,000 bottles per hour. The filling process takes place in a clean room environment held to the highest laboratory standards. The water for Icelandic Glacial travels directly from the underground spring into the bottling facility, which maintains a positive air pressure to impede the outside air. The first time Icelandic Glacial encounters the open air is when the bottle seal is broken. Nothing is ever added or taken away. Ever.

And we go even further, all bottles utilize glass or recycled rPET, BPA-free plastic, and boxes are made with 50% recycled paper products. All our bottles and boxes are 100% recyclable.

Icelandic Glacial is exceptionally pure and naturally alkaline water with a pH of 8.4. The high pH in Icelandic Glacial may help to offset the low pH acids found in many foods to help the body maintain a healthy pH balance. It possesses a naturally low mineral content (TDS of 62ppm) that does not crowd the palate with heavy metals, minerals or silica. Water so pure, nothing is added; nothing is taken away.
