London Steakhouse Company – The World’s Most Loved Steakhouse
Marco Pierre White, his name alone conjures up culinary excitement! So when I was invited with a friend to review The London Steakhouse Company owned by this larger than life ‘A’ list chef, well there really was no holding me back. I love steak, but a steak prepared in this rather sophisticated restaurant was exciting indeed!
We booked for the King’s Road venue which is the second of two London Steakhouse Company restaurants, the other one opened in 2008 is in The City.
We arrived early for our 8:30 pm table, but it wasn’t quite ready so we enjoyed a glass of bubbly at the bar, a short ten-minute wait and our perfectly placed, elegantly dressed table was ready. The ambience was relaxed, with comfortable seating and soft lighting and we perused the menu, savouring every detail in order to ensure we made the right choices. The menu offers a classic selection with the finest quality steaks, grilled meat and fish, and traditional desserts.
Our waiter was on hand to help with our decisions, he was attentive and knowledgeable, giving valuable help when needed.
To begin our culinary experience I decide to have the Cured Mackerel with pickled apple and horseradish crème fraîche, it was incredibly delicate in flavour and the slightly hot horseradish sauce bought a little zing to the dish. My friend chose the Chicken Liver Parfait served with toasted brioche, well the plate was clear, so I can only surmise that she loved it, it certainly looked beautiful.
After a little break and a chat with the manager with a little more advice we made our choices and both went for the same main course, we had an 8oz Rump Steak. Our sides were Creamed Spinach with Gruyère, gorgeous crispy L.S.C. onion rings and house fries. The steak was succulent, soft, tasty and it cut like butter. It needed no seasoning or extra sauces for us, the steak was simply divine, we agreed probably the best we’d ever eaten. The onion rings were crispy and steaming hot as were the house fries, but for me personally, my favourite side was the creamed spinach with gruyère cheese this went perfectly with the steak and added a new texture, the whole experience was absolutely superb.
The restaurant is elegant and stylish and it’s quite obvious our fellow diners visit here for many reasons, the fabulous cuisine, the extensive wine list, the first-class friendly service with that sought after personal touch, the warm atmosphere and the chic décor. We chatted with some of the other visitors as we enjoyed an after-dinner coffee and it seemed there were a lot of returning diners, this is accolade enough for most, but don’t take my word for it, next time you have a special occasion to celebrate book your guests into London Steakhouse Company and do it in style.
Is it any wonder this restaurant has more 5 star TripAdvisor reviews that any other steak restaurant worldwide!
