OKHTEIN taking sunglasses market to their luxurious niche
This Summer kicks off with a teaser for the sunglasses launched by the Egyptian mesmerizing accessories brand “OKHTEIN”
In a fashion-driven world, it is a necessity to be picky while purchasing statement pieces. OKHTEIN brand launched in 2014. It is known for their purses and clutches and is now expanding to the eyewear market. The Egyptian luxurious brand has recently published on their Instagram account a sneak peeks from their new sunglasses line sketches. And later, a photoshoot of the new eyewear collection has been released, with Columbian singer and songwriter, Maluma showcasing their newest orange-tinted sunglasses, ‘Palmette Heat,’ which is still to be released soon.
There has been a growth in the demand for the brand especially since it was worn by Beyoncé for several times in a variety of occasions. The brand takes pride in transhipping Egyptian craftsmanship to the world and proudly races alongside monstrous Italian bag designers at several high-end retailers. Giving each piece a name that reflects its aesthetic concept is their method in appreciating their authentic products.
It all started with two sisters impassioned about their cultural inheritance and cherishing the value added by every piece of their accessories. Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf launched their brand OKHTEIN—which means “sisters” in the Arabic language—in an attempt to redefine luxury and revive history. OKHTEIN believes in crafting statement pieces and utilizing the finest hand-picked fabrics that would last in any wardrobe.
Aya and Mounaz felt compelled to exert a philanthropic approach to their business. The brand remains true to its core values; providing top luxury craftsmanship whilst remaining on-trend; as the brand has a balance between setting trends in terms of smearing new trends to leatherworks and reviving historical jewellery inspired by Moaz street in Khan El-Khalili.
