Packing tips for a Luxury camping trip

Campers love spending time in the woods. It offers them ample opportunities to explore mother nature. Also, camping is a great way of spending the weekend away from city life. People want to spend some time away from the tensions and pressures of everyday routine, and that is exactly what camping provides you with.

Now, camping isn’t as easy as some first-timers believe it to be. There is a lot that needs to be done before you can actually embark on a luxury trip. The planning and preparation need to be thought through quite carefully. Also, you need to make sure that you carry just about everything that is required by you. If you are a veteran camper then you will be aware of the gear that a person needs to bring along.

In recent times, there has been a surge in the number of people opting for luxurious safaris. The idea behind the entire exercise is to spend some quality time with your near and dear ones while treating yourself to some of the finest luxuries.

If you are planning to embark on a luxury safari trip, then remember to keep all of these things in your backpack.

Binoculars
Mosquito repellants
Sunglasses and sunscreen
Don’t forget your 511 pants
Don’t forget the hat
Carry a map along. Many wildlife resorts and lodges provide maps of the game reserves
A few light snacks and water ( to keep yourself charged)
A flashlight is needed if you are planning to visit the woods at night
Have a satellite phone at your disposal ( you never know)
Also, do not pack too many clothes as you won’t be needing all of them

Handy tip: Leave behind your perfume and high-heeled sandals at home since you won’t be needing them during the safari. Also, wear dull (sand-coloured) clothes during the course of your safari.

Have a private vehicle with you during the safari

Also, hiring a private driver is definitely a great idea. Hiring a private driver will offer you the luxury of travelling to your destination as per your convenience. Having access to transport is a must when you go out on a safari.

Have a private guide at your disposal

Having a private guide at your service will come in handy if you are planning to go deeper into the woods during your camping expedition. Make sure the guide you hire stays with you throughout the course of the trip. Also, check if the staff at the lodge and the guide you hire are well versed with the surrounding area.

Do check the weather before hitting the woods

Yes, this point needs to be reiterated at least 10,000 times. There are times when the weather conditions overhead won’t allow you to go for a safari. Well, that’s absolutely fine. Caution is key. You cannot go into the woods forcefully just for the sake of seeking adventure.

Most importantly, make sure the hotel/resort/lodge you have booked is not located far away from the gaming reserve. Also, ensure that the resort being booked provides you with:

Wi-Fi connectivity
A private pool/swimming area
Some mouth-watering local delicacies
An in-built fireplace
Vehicles on hire
Complimentary breakfast sounds great. Ah, nothing works like food, right?

A luxurious safari trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Make sure you click a lot of pictures and capture a lot of videos. You can show these to your children 10 years down the line. It is an experience you will never forget. Hopefully, these tips will get you excited for your next outdoor adventure trip. Let us know in the comments section.
