Spring is here and with it, a million and one things to do in our fabulous city and beyond! Secret Brunch Opens its Hidden Doors to the Public
Famed for its immersive and theatrical events shrouded in mystery, Secret Brunch is celebrating its 7th birthday by opening its hidden doors to the public for the first time ever. If you’re not part of their members-only brunch club, well, this time around, you’re in luck. Being held at a secret location (of course) somewhere in Central London from 4pm on May 20th, you’ll be amazed at the exhilarating entertainment experience on offer with theatrical displays, DJ’s playing genre-shifting music and a magical main show which kicks off at 7pm with partying ’til the wee small hours. The STK London Ibiza Brunch Party
Be transported to the White Isle without leaving London as famous steakhouse STK host one of the infamous brunch parties with an Ibizan vibe. Along with a more-ish brunch menu to feast on, there’ll be live acts and DJ’s to keep the party going all day long.
The exclusive party will transport its cool crowd to the heart of the Med on Sunday 7th May with two sittings and plenty of hedonistic champagne fun against the backdrop of some super cool beats.
With dishes including steak, duck egg and triple cooked chips, pancake stacks and green eggs & ham; and sharing platters like the eggy platter with duck scotch egg, truffled scrambled egg, eggs benedict and baguette soldiers, party goers can stand out from the crowd with the STK signature giant sundae £50). £15 tickets include entry and cocktail upon arrival, £30 tickets include table and a bottle of champagne between two. Summer Garden Afternoon Tea at The Strand Palace Hotel
These guys know how to do afternoon tea, after all, they’ve been serving it since 1909! New Exec Chef Roberto Mercandino has given the tradition a ‘rein-Carnation’ with a floral-inspired Summer Garden Afternoon Tea.
The limited edition menu which has just launched in time for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (23-27 May), will feature an indulgent white chocolate cone filled with strawberry ice cream, a dark chocolate cone with Chantilly ice cream, white chocolate roses and milk chocolate butterflies, all sown on a bed of wheatgrass.
Egg and cress sandwiches will be served alongside smoked salmon & cream cheese on charcoal bread and sirloin steak & horseradish served on orange bread, along with floral fancies like the chocolate choux choux, zesty passionfruit mousse and a light Victoria sponge. Sultana scones accompanied by lashings of clotted cream and strawberry jam will also be on offer.
£34.95, available in the Lounge Bar until 30 August. Covent Garden Afternoon Tea also available, featuring sandwiches, sweets and scones for £29.95 per guest. Refill your sandwiches, sweets or scones for just £12.
Oasis UK’s Big River Give Fundraiser

Sexy Brunch at Sexy Fish
Brunch doesn’t get more sexier! Just launched, get sexy every Sunday 11.30am – 4.30pm at gorgeous restaurant Sexy Fish in Berkeley Square, Mayfair. With Japanese inspired meat, seafood and veggie dishes along with a delicious cocktail menu and a host of world class DJ’s, Sexy Brunch will be taking place every Sunday throughout May and June. Brunch classics have been given a twist – we love the sound of the Sexy Fish ‘BLT’ with tofu, wasabi and bacon, and the Sexy Benedict with lobster and truffle on a black charcoal muffin. Don’t worry, if you’ve a fish fettish, there’ll be all the usual sushi, sashimi and maki on the menu too. Bar Manager Matteo Cazzaniga has also created some amazing concoctions with Absolut Elyx like the Japanese Bloody Mary, with Nikka All Malt, house spice mix, tomato and smoked lemon foam; and the Sexy Fizz, with Absolut Elyx, citrus sherbet, thyme, Manzanilla and Champagne.
Try Tratra – New to Boundary Shoreditch
May sees French cook and cookery writer Stéphane Reynaud opening Tratra at Boundary. His third outside of Paris, you can expect casual cuisine inspired by recipes from south-central France where he grew up as a child. Support the Super Heroes with Lancaster London!
On Sunday 14th May, the Management Action Group from Lancaster London will be doing their bit by donning their favourite superhero costumes for the Hotel Superheroes ‘Save the Day’ Charity Run. Raising money for the Woman’s Trust who protect women affected by domestic abuse and violence, you’ll be able to catch the team (or maybe not!) as they take on the challenge – a 5K or 10K run around Regents Park. The team would welcome any donation, no matter how small, and if you want to see a swarm of superheroes, then be there on the day to show your support!
Creative Masterclasses at Hipping Hall
Hipping Hall has had a makeover! The recently renovated old stables will play host to a series of creative classes for guests wishing to get away from it all whilst also learning a new skill. The first will be a three day course in the art of potting from Miles-Moore Ceramics who have crafted a series of centrepieces, plates and bowls for the newly redecorated 15th century dining room in which dinner cooked by head chef Oli Martin, is also served. The Marylebone’s Yoga Events with Kirsty Gallagher
Running until July, internationally recognised yoga teacher Kirsty Gallagher will be guiding guests through a series of exclusive yoga sequences designed to relax and rejuvenate at The Marylebone with lululemon. Sake No Hana Celebrates Spring with Sakura Menu & Art Installation
Until 10th June, Sake no Hana will be celebrating Spring and the Japanese cherry blossom season with British artist Rebecca Louise Law’s work of art – a breathtaking art installation on the restaurant’s ceiling which features her signature copper wire design along with clouds of white flowers for a feeling of complete tranquility. Reminiscent of blossom trees, the installation fits in perfectly with the restaurant’s forest vibe.
To compliment the season, a limited edition sakura menu from Executive Head Chef Hideki Hiwatashi will also be on the menu with miso soup, a nigiri and maki bento box, charcoal grill dishes and Champagne yuzu miso salmon. £37 per person, email firstname.lastname@example.org

Heading to Barcelona in the next couple of months? Until July 31st, you can experience a delicious offering from Benares’ Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar at the renowned Cotton House Hotel Autograph Collection.
The luxury five star hotel which boasts library, lounge, terrace and outdoor pool, will for the next few months also be offering a pop up restaurant experience which will include seven delicious dishes, plus a selection of mouthwatering cocktails and Indian-inspired tapas.
