The Westin Cape Town where memorable experiences await
Not only is this spectacular establishment nestled in the hub of Cape Town’s CBD and right by the V & A waterfront, but it also boasts sprawling 360-degree views of the city bowl and harbour.
From the moment you step foot into The Westin, whether it is for business or pleasure you can immediately tell that every second is going to be an experience to remember. From the beautiful Table Mountain and V & A Waterfront views to the exquisite décor in the reception, every single detail has been deliberately and perfectly executed. The staff are friendly and always go above and beyond in order to make the stay more luxurious on every level.
After returning home from India and after a long transit time, The Westin was the perfect place to just relax, let my hair down and have some downtime to myself. The serene views from the spacious and exclusive presidential suite was immaculate and allowed me to sit back, watch the sunset and sip a glass of wine. The Westin has 483 elegant guest rooms and suites that all have the latest amenities to ensure total comfort and convenience for guests. My presidential sweet, however, was one of the finest of its kind in the South African Luxury Hotel space and definitely one of the finest I have ever experienced. It is not just the views that make this suite unique, it is also the modern crisp, clean finishes with a South African touch that made me feel both at home and treated like royalty. The bedroom was particularly comfortable and allowed me to get a good night’s sleep and ready for media engagements the following morning.
I did not anticipate my stay getting any better than that and yet it did. It was taken to the next level with my fine dining experience at Thirty7 Show kitchen. There are a number of dining areas and I could sadly only experience one but I felt like I left with a complete culinary experience of The Westin. From the full-on breakfast buffet to the delicacies served at dinner, every bite was better than the last. To top it all off, the menu is full of energy-boosting and homemade dishes.
The actual beauty, though, is not just having a place to sleep and eat when in Cape Town, but also the stunning work well and business centre (fully equipped), conference rooms and exclusive lounges you can visit for your business meeting and events. Each section has its own unique flair making it difficult to leave. There is also a direct link to Cape Town’s International conference centre make it as convenient as ever. From the spa to a workout fitness studio, The Westin has thought of every aspect. The spa is spectacular and I left feeling completely rejuvenated and ready for work.
A memorable highlight and standout moment for me had to be the indoor pool, located on the 19th floor, overlooking the ocean with views of Cape Town. With a sleek and modern design and a whirlpool alongside, this area allows for complete relaxation and revitalisation. Comfortable chairs were laid out next to the pool and I soaked in the view wishing I only had time to read a book at the same time.
This experience was unlike any other hotel experience I have had and I cannot wait for my next Westin stay. It was certainly remarkable on every level.
