Thomas Royall is a contemporary men’s and boy’s swimwear label. Specialising in matching, modern designer swimwear for “dads and lads”. Their collections include four styles of swim short, matching shirts and summer accessories.
Thomas Royall brings together the idea that men can be both comfortable and stylish. They have merged the concept of tailored shorts and swimwear, offering you something you can wear on the beach or by the pool but smart enough to go straight to the bar or restaurant.
Developed using performance, fast-drying fabrics, each Thomas Royall style features the brand’s signature azure blue waistband. Here at Thomas Royall, we believe that stylish men and children should make a bold statement with the way they dress on and off the beach. Attention-grabbing digital prints and a tropical colour palette define the collection.
Originally established in 2015 by ex-premiership footballers, in 2019, the company was taken over by Francesca Ridgewell. Francesca has been part of the Thomas Royall family since 2016. She fell in love with the brand and has a clear eye for fashion and design, so it was an easy decision for her to acquire the business when the opportunity was presented to her in 2019.
Not long after in 2020, Lauren Corbett joined Thomas Royall as a director. Bringing a wealth of experience in the Luxury space having spent the last 7 years building a successful Luxury Lifestyle and Travel concierge, with offices in Europe and Asia.
More recently, Thomas Royall announced that Calum Best, who has worn the brand’s shorts ever since it was founded back in 2015, has joined the team as both a partner and investor.
Calum, a British-American television personality, said: “I’m thrilled to announce a very exciting and natural progression!” Calum is well-known for his status as a model and TV presenter, having appeared on ‘Come Dine With Me’ as well as winning the second series of ‘Celebrity Love Island’.
The on boarding of Calum was an extremely organic decision for Thomas Royall. Not only was he one of their first customers, but he has also continued to wear the shorts, which is a true sign of their quality. After seeing the business had been taken over, he was interested to find out more. In doing so, he developed an immediate friendship with both Francesca and Lauren, which has now grown into a partnership. “It’s been a long time coming,” said Francesca.
Thomas Royall is growing rapidly, with plans to expand into golf wear and other apparel that suits the needs of their current clientele. Whether it’s matching swimwear or father and son shorts, there are exciting things coming for the brand, especially with the welcomed addition of Calum.
In other exciting news, the brand is expanding it’s global reach with a launch in Dubai coming at the end of October through the Middle East’s premier destination for men’s lifestyle, Edgar and premium retreat, The Lounge Spa at the world famous Jumeirah Golf Estates & Country Club.
