There are few things more quintessentially English than the tennis at Wimbledon, afternoon tea, Pimm’s with strawberries and cream, followed by a stroll down Cheyne Row in the heart of Chelsea.

It is with these ingredients that No. Fifty Cheyne presents the start of their Afternoon Tea service, served in The Drawing Room, Upstairs at No. Fifty; commencing with a debut Wimbledon menu by Head chef; Iain Smith:

Home-made scones with clotted cream and Pimm’s’n’strawberries jam ~
Heritage tomato with black garlic and basil, open sandwich Smoked
salmon with lemon crème fraiche and pickled cucumber, open sandwich
Roast beef and horseradish with watercress, open sandwich ~ Chocolate
brownie squares with fresh berries Strawberries’n’cream Eton mess
Lemon meringue tartlet Strawberry delice cheesecake

No afternoon tea is complete without accompanying refreshments, either a wonderfully warm cup of tea, or a glass of bubbles. At No. Fifty Cheyne, Bar Manager Max Berrington presents the “Earl of Champagne” an extraordinary cocktail featuring:

Cold-brewed Earl Grey tea from The Rare Tea Co., Wyborowa vodka, lemon zest, gomme syrup and Ruinart blanc de blanc champagne

Wimbledon will be shown on the screen in the Drawing Room from 1pm and Afternoon tea will be served from 2pm to 5pm, for the duration of the summer.

Prices are: £25 per person for the eight delicacies, accompanied by tea or coffee.
£35 for per person for the eight delicacies, accompanied by “Earl of Champagne” cocktail and tea or coffee.
