The Reach at Piccadilly: Canalside calm meets city energy
The Reach at Piccadilly, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, proudly celebrates its first year as part of Manchester’s vibrant hospitality scene. Since opening the doors in July 2024, they have welcomed guests from near and far, offering a unique blend of city-centre energy and canalside calm. Perfectly positioned just a 90-second walk from Piccadilly Train Station, The Reach has quickly become a favourite base for exploring Manchester’s rich culture, nightlife, and attractions. At the heart of it all is Lock 84 Restaurant & Bar, where guests can wine and dine while watching the boats glide by on the Rochdale Canal – a relaxed, memorable setting that’s won many hearts over the past year. One year in, and just getting started
The Reach at Piccadilly Restaurant and Bar serves an eclectic mix of small plates and larger plates along with quality drinks. Perfect for either a pre-event cocktail and bite to eat, or something more formal and substantial.
The chefs take pride in keeping it local and have created menus featuring a variety of delicious small plate dishes, crafted with ingredients sourced from the finest producers in the city. Highlights include their very own Lock 84 IPA, specially brewed by Salford’s Seven Bro7hers craft brewery, and Worker Bee Coffee, roasted just a few steps from the hotel.
Inspired by Manchester’s industrial heritage and our Canalside location, the stylish bedrooms have been designed with both elegance and comfort in mind. The finest cotton, wool, and timber – natural materials traditionally transported via hand-crafted narrowboats along the Rochdale Canal during the Industrial Revolution – have been used to create modern, functional spaces that are both luxurious and sustainable.
Forget traditional fluffy robes and slippers. Our bedrooms feature elegant furnishings and all the modern conveniences, including deluxe espresso coffee machines, USB-C charging ports, superfast Wi-Fi, and Sky TV.
The Tribute Portfolio is a rapidly growing family of independent hotels under the Marriott International brand. These hotels combine top-class service and elegant design with expert knowledge of the local areas they belong to.
While benefiting from being part of the Marriott family, each Tribute Portfolio hotel has its own character and individual history, connecting it to its surroundings and local community. This ensures each hotel has a unique vibe and identity, drawn from the city it serves.
