Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas: announces an enhanced resort experience
Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas is elevating its guest experience with deeper nature, culture and wellness programming that reflects Minor Hotels’ vision for meaningful, place-led hospitality. Set on Le Chaland Beach beside Blue Bay Marine Park, the resort pairs a calm coastal setting with hands-on conservation, energising wellness and authentic local flavours. The resort opened in September 2019 and is a convenient 15-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

Suites and villas
Spacious Garden View and Ocean View Suites, each 115 sqm, feature separate living rooms and private balconies, with ocean-view suites set a short stroll from the beach. For groups and families, two-bedroom and four-bedroom pool villas provide private gardens, generous living areas and kitchens for chef-hosted barbecues or in-villa dining.
Wellness and recreation
Anantara Spa blends Mauritian botanicals with Anantara’s signature expertise. Facilities include single and couple treatment rooms, outdoor Thai pavilions, a whirlpool and a traditional hammam. The resort also offers tennis courts, an ozone-based infinity pool, a dedicated kids’ pool and a supervised kids’ club.
Experiences in the southeast
From the lagoon’s sheltered snorkelling and paddle adventures to nature reserves and cultural discoveries in nearby Mahebourg, the resort team curates days that balance activity and serenity. Golf at Avalon Golf Estate, located about 40 minutes from the resort, can also be arranged.
Leadership comments “Anantara Iko Mauritius is about rhythm and place, the feeling you get when reef, forest, kitchen and community come together in one stay,” said the resort’s management team. “The refreshed pillars help guests connect to the southeast coast in a way that is relaxed, responsible and unmistakably Mauritian.”
