Little Ant is the UK based dried flower label providing sustainable gifts and home decor which can last up to 400 times longer than fresh bouquets and can be used as home decor accessories. Not only are they long lasting, they are also incredibly affordable, coming in at almost half the price of fresh flower deliveries. Combining the sleek style of contemporary and modern, Little Ant brings a fresh take to gifting and home decor.

Dried flowers are becoming all the rage, as sustainability becomes a larger topic of discussion amongst the public. It begs the question of why are we throwing away our ‘dead’ flowers?

Sustainability is a massive issue across the world and consumers are becoming more aware of this and changing their spending habits because of this. Lockdown showed a huge increase in people becoming more sustainable. A recent BCG survey which surveyed 3,000 people showed that “70% of survey participants said they were more aware now than before COVID-19 that human activity threatens the climate and that degradation of the environment, in turn, threatens humans. And three-quarters of respondents said environmental issues are as concerning as—or more concerning than—health issues.”

Little Ant are renowned for their commitment to a greener world – they use natural resources, sustainable produce, thermal printing and non-plastic packaging across all of their products. All of the flowers have been carefully sourced to ensure it has minimal impact on the environment and promotes the health of our planet and Little Ant works with Eco-friendly suppliers who carefully assess all of their products. Little Ant also are championed for having no-waste, the excess flowers are put into the tote bag orders and the stems are made into compost.

“I loved receiving my flower package from Little Ant, the delicacy and luxurious feel to the brand is incredible and i’m in love with their aim of sustainability” – Little Ant customer.

Little Ant specialise in dried flowers but offer a range of other products such as tote bags and wall baskets that are handwoven by a group of female villagers in Uganda. A large proportion of the money made from those sales goes directly to the women who make the baskets.

Welcome to the colony! #LittleAnt

Little Ant was founded in the west country, 2021, at the start of the national COVID-19 lockdown with the mission to provide long-lasting, sustainable gifts and home accessories for families across the UK.

The founder of Little Ant; HJ started her journey importing furniture and working in the events industry in Australia. She always had a passion for floristry, homeware and interiors. She found the surroundings in Australia enabled her to fall in love with the fresh and impactful lifestyle which is what HJ and Little Ant now bring to the UK.

After living in Australia for 7 years HJ experienced a feeling and “sign” that she needed to return to her home, Britain. After being away from her family at such a distance the news HJ received when she got back was what geared her up to finally create Little Ant after having it in her mind for so long.

HJ was diagnosed with breast cancer when she got back, that was the sign/feeling she was experiencing – this changed her as a person. The life changing news alongside the national lockdown pushed her to create Little Ant and help her give back to the community!

“Little Ant has been in the background of my mind for a few years now but when Covid hit and work slowed down, I thought it was time to stop procrastinating, bite the bullet and do something a little bit different.” – HJ, founder of Little Ant.

The name Little Ant was pulled from HJ’s career in events/furniture, as she ‘carried’ furniture across the globe and some worker ants are called ‘carriers’.

Most ants you see are female – Ants have a caste system, where responsibilities are divided. The queen is the founder of the colony, and her role is to lay eggs. Worker ants are all female, and this sisterhood is responsible for the harmonious operation of the colony.
