From the moment we arrived, we could feel that this wasn’t just another resort; it was a thoughtfully designed retreat that blends modern elegance with the warmth of genuine Greek hospitality.

First Impressions

As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, we were struck by how peaceful and inviting the atmosphere felt. The beautifully maintained gardens, with their lush greenery and carefully landscaped touches, created a sense of calm that set the tone for our stay. Check-in was seamless, and the warm welcome from the reception team instantly made us feel at home.

When we were shown to our suite, we were delighted to find a chilled bottle of white wine and a platter of fresh fruit waiting for us, a small gesture that made a big impression. Our room was sleek and modern, with minimalist decor and subtle Greek details. It was spotless every day, and the housekeeping team made sure we had everything we needed to stay comfortable.

Pools & Atmosphere

We spent a lot of time by the pools, there are three main ones, each with its own vibe and adjacent children’s areas. Whether we were looking for a relaxing afternoon or just cooling off between activities, it always felt effortless and calm. The staff were amazing, often coming around with trays of fresh fruit or little sweet bites. Those thoughtful extras really elevated the whole experience.

Incredible Service

What really stood out to us was the service. Every single member of staff was not only friendly but genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable. They helped us arrange taxis, gave us brilliant local recommendations, and even booked a private tour of the island for us. We always felt looked after, whether we were lounging poolside or exploring Zakynthos.

Style, Shopping & Exploring

One of the unexpected highlights was the on-site boutique. I couldn’t resist picking up a few pieces, everything from stylish beachwear to elegant dresses. It was nice to indulge in a little retail therapy without even leaving the hotel. When we wanted to explore a bit further, we rented electric bikes right from the hotel. It was such a fun and easy way to see the area on our own terms.

Technology Meets Luxury

We also really appreciated how the hotel uses technology to enhance the guest experience. With the mobile app, we could book services or order food and drinks directly to our sunbeds; it was so convenient and made everything feel effortlessly luxurious.

Wellness & Facilities

We took full advantage of the hotel’s wellness offerings. I booked a massage at the spa (which was pure bliss), while my partner hit the gym a couple of mornings to keep up with his routine. Both spaces were modern, clean, and created with relaxation and well-being in mind.

Dining to Remember

The food at Contessina was honestly exceptional. Lunch was always a treat, with options like freshly made sushi, pasta, and vibrant salads. In the evenings, we looked forward to the buffet dinner, carefully curated by Head Chef Antonis Giassas and his team. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. On our final night, we booked a table at the à la carte restaurant, it was the perfect setting for a quiet, romantic dinner.

Our time at Contessina Hotel exceeded every expectation. It’s more than just a luxury resort; it’s a place where thoughtful design, outstanding service, and a love for detail come together to create something truly special. From the lush surroundings and modern architecture to the impeccable dining and attentive staff, everything felt perfectly in tune.
