Cora Cora Maldives – Kick off your shoes and let down your hair
It’s freedom time! We are very excited about our upcoming trip to the hottest new opening in the destination, Cora Cora Maldives, the very first Maldivian resort that is not only a luxurious paradise but also celebrates the rich history and culture of the islands. Cora Cora Maldives has a licensed art gallery and museum which showcases over 400 fascinating local artefacts and two incredibly well-preserved temple tanks that are 900 years old – we cannot wait to be taken on a guided tour through the centuries. Since we can only access the remote resort by seaplane or speedboat, we will have the opportunity to see the pristine Raa Atoll and glide across the glistening waters thus immersing ourselves into the tranquil spirit of the Maldives from the moment we begin our journey. Since Cora Cora Maldives’ ethos is ‘it’s freedom time’, we are eager to revel in their luxurious accommodation with sweeping vistas across the Indian Ocean and interiors that exude the relaxed Maldivian lifestyle – the perfect way to ease us into our island retreat after a long travel day.
The freedom philosophy is emulated in their Moksha Spa which has seven beautifully designed treatment rooms with experienced therapists carefully selected from Thailand, Bali, and Indonesia to provide a combination of Eastern and Western practices. I cannot wait to experience the de-stress treatment plan to fully embrace the serene island way of life. We would be remiss if we did not mention the Premium all-inclusive Gourmet Meal Plan which perfectly combine authentic recipes with the desires of the contemporary traveller. We will be taken on a culinary journey from plant-based dishes to traditional Maldivian curries, to tasting their homemade vegan ice cream, all using fresh produce from and around the island. At each of their four restaurants and two bars, we are delighted that we will have the freedom to enjoy the delectable dishes day or night, further enhancing the Cora Cora Maldives’ freedom ethos. The beauty of Cora Cora Maldives is that it is not just a relaxing retreat, it is also a chance to have completely unique adventures from diving with their PADI certified dive school to encountering the diverse marine life up-close when snorkelling, to exploring nearby local and ghost islands. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to experience this incredible resort, it will definitely be one to tick off the bucket list.
