Lovelydays – Exclusive Luxury homes and apartments
Having had a crazy busy week at work, there was nothing more I was looking forward to than a cosy evening in with a couple of fellow travel Ambassadors reviewing one of the many beautiful, luxury and highly impressive five star homes that are displayed in the phenomenal Lovelydays property portfolio.
When Lovelydays was first established, the concept was to develop a product that provided clients with access to the three most important elements to the ultimate travel experience: travellers who, like us, are starting to avoid the large overpriced impersonal hotels and prefer renting a “home away from home”, with the added comfort of a private concierge service.
Lovelydays really have quite nailed it when zoning in and focusing on three simple yet crucially important key areas; their homes; which actually feel like you could live there, their service; where a team is on hand 24/7 throughout your stay to assist with any bookings for restaurants etc. and location; choosing the perfect neighbourhood to hunt for beautiful properties for any type of getaway customers may be seeking.
The Lovelydays team are all highly experienced and very familiar with the services of five star London hotels and leading hotels on the Riviera. They are accustomed to meeting every one of their guests’ needs and desires with a focus on detail, quality and fit to make even the little things that more special.
After settling on a date that we could all congregate on, the very helpful sales team provided links to available properties to suit a party of four, that they thought truly would enable us to experience what they have to offer. After carefully viewing and reading about each home all in different neighbourhoods of London, we finally came to the decision of wanting to review and experience their Great Marlborough Street IX home in central Soho, a bare three-minute walk from Oxford Street.
Prior to our arrival, we were introduced to Alex; Welcome Manager at Lovelydays, who was on hand to greet and show us around the property and would be available to help us with any requests or questions we had during our stay.
Entering the incredible, spacious and calming penthouse property seemed like worlds away from the bustling and crowded Great Marlborough Street it resides on. The small and busy street hosts multiple unique wine bars and a couple of restaurants quite literally a stone’s throw away from London’s famous Oxford Street, where you can find anything and everything you could need during your stay.
To be honest, from staying at previous properties, I was very much expecting the ‘look but don’t touch’ kind of ethos to be around the apartment as it was simply just exquisite, however after having a nosy round ourselves after Alex left, I very much felt as though I could quite easily stay here a week and be able to feel as though it’s a home and not just a for show type of property.
The penthouse had two spacious bedrooms, one master with a beautiful en-suite bathroom with crystal white tiles, and his and hers sink, a walk-in shower and a very welcoming freestanding bath. Both bedrooms had the underfloor heated wooden floor (perfect as the seasons were changing) and the 2nd room had a slightly smaller queen-sized bed and a very similar bathroom just across the hallway. Both bedrooms had complete blackout blinds, while the bathrooms had all the beautiful travel-sized toiletries, us frequent travellers always get excited about, especially these exquisite Aqua Di Parma shower gels and body lotions. Walking down the long hallway lead us into the large open plan dining, kitchen, living room. The kitchen featured spacious marble worktops with a coffee machine, toaster, kettle etc, while deep shelves on the walls were adorned with spices, condiments, fine olive oils and different types of pasta which we were told we were welcome to sample if we were planning on cooking that evening. The lounge was beautifully decorated with so much thought and attention to detail. A three-person cosy sofa and armchair sat in front of large wall-mounted plasma tv, a warm and fluffy rug lay under the coffee table, to contrast the hard yet warm wooden floor and two stunning wooden tree trunk top tables acted as the centrepiece to the room.
The modern artwork, vases, coffee table books and vases added the finishing touches to make the room look more homely and make you feel as though you could be sitting in your very own lounge, just a couple of floors above the city centre.
As we sat around the dining table eating dinner, we discussed no matter how cold it is in the morning, we would venture upstairs, wrapped up to the max and eat breakfast on the large meandering terrace decorated with plants and pretty little flowers on the top floor of the building overlooking city streets below, before we pack up our bags and head home.
Lovelydays not only have differing properties around London but also spread across several beautiful European countries and Asia. All properties vary in size and can suit parties small or large in the hot or freezing climate, by the sea or in the mountains, with a Jacuzzi or a pool, Lovelyday’s just about to have something for everyone!
