Mandira’s kitchen is an award-winning producer of authentic Indian food based out of a 400 year old cowshed , overlooking the magical Silent Pool in the Surrey Hills creating delicious meals, and accompaniments such as chutneys and ice creams and also provide bespoke catering and food experiences such as cookery lessons and spice tours.

All the food is made using fresh produce, containing no gluten or unpronounceable bits with vegan and dairy free options. Delivered to any address, the food can be heated in 4 minutes to give you a wholesome homemade meal.

Mandira’s Kitchen does not churn out a “curry” because it sounds Indian. Every dish created comes with a personal story – from Mandira’s mother’s Kaju Chicken to the best Kaali Dal she tasted in a little place in Amritsar. The food carries with it the love, joy and happy memories of meals with friends and family complete with lively animated conversations and laughter. Mandira hopes that when you enjoy the food – be it in quiet solitude with a favourite person or book or shared across a large table with family and friends – you too feel this love and comfort…

In addition to making your own selections of your favourites you can choose from specially curated dine-in experiences to create an authentic Indian meal without all the time in preparation and cooking.

Each dish invokes images of the affluent houses of India’s Tea Plantations where celebratory banquets include family favourite dishes.

The Maharani Coronation Chicken, created especially for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, is based on a royal recipe – creamy chicken curry made with boneless chicken, fresh fenugreek leaves, our special spices, raisins, and slivers of nuts and dried apricots.

The popular Navratan Korma is based on the nine vegetables or nine jewels of the Mughal Emperor’s court, a creamy vegetable dish made with coconut milk.

The Railway Mutton Curry is Tender lamb cooked on the bone – as served in the erstwhile first-class railway dining cars.

Dishes can be stored in the fridge for up to 48 hours or in the freezer for 6 months and heated in just 4 minutes in the microwave or heated in the oven. All packaging is recyclable or reusable and each two portion pack contains two separate portions to reduce food waste.

You can also select a chutney to enhance your meal or a delicious ice cream with exotic Indian flavours including Chai and Pistachio; Lychee and Martini; Fig and Almond, Mango and Cardamom; and the new Watermelon and Tamarind.

To create a truly authentic Indian meal experience, Mandira’s Kitchen also has a range of authentic Indian tableware and serving dishes https://www.mandiraskitchen.com/product-category/gifts-tableware/

The Orange and Gin Chutney is made with the bald oranges left over after next door neighbours Silent Pool Distillers use the peel in their fabulous gin, this slightly bitter, spiced chutney is a firm favourite. Enjoy with cheese, poppadom, crackers, in bread and better pudding or just on its own!

Only the best quality local ingredients are used where possible to ensure the quality of each dish.

If you visit Mandira’s Kitchen, you will find it beside the idyllic Silent Pool in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – on the patio you can enjoy a Masala Chai with the crispiest samosas in town and some authentic Indian street food – the perfect pit stop during a walk – and you could even pick up a ready to eat biriyani picnic to enjoy.

Mandira’s Kitchen food and accompaniments are made for sharing and being enjoyed with friends – deliveries can be made to any UK Mainland address in fully recyclable packaging.
