The Gastro Beach in Palma
The seafront promenade in Portixol ends with Assaona Gastrobeach Club in Palma de Mallorca, where you can gaze upon the shinning blue waters of the Mediterranean, as well as the impressive Palma cathedral and the ending horizon of the city as it blends in to the sea.
Assaonar, means to season… To put the finishing touch on something, making it mature through its culinary ingredients that it requires.
The name Assaona, comes from the Mallorcan verb ‘assaona’ (to season), and in Castilian Spanish sazonar. Because that’s who they are. They look for the perfect ingredients to ensure your visit will be unforgettable.
The Gastrobeach Club is located only 5 minutes from the centre of Palma. From dawn till dusk, offering a unique space with a personal and exclusive service that cannot be beaten. An oasis in the Balearic capital where the most modern gastronomy is dressed with traditional touches and the best local produce.
Eclecticism and suitability form part of the basis of your stay at the Gastrobeach Club in Portixol. The establishment has distinct areas to suit everyone’s tastes and preferences. From an intimate and tranquil restaurant area, to two exterior terraces with sea views. The icing on the cake is the hammock and parasol area which will maximise the experience during hotter days. They adapt to you and the weather: they have Balinese beds for summer and a toasty chimney for winter. All brought together with the best food, select wines and the most refreshing cocktails. They add that special something to every aspect of your visit.
Assaona is open every day of the year, which allows you to enjoy the sea, the beach, cocktails and Balinese beds in summer as well as the most charming chimney and the best views of the Mediterranean in winter. All of that surrounded by cocktails, an exclusive wine menu and the most succulent dishes created by our chef.
At Assaona Gastrobeach Club they know that your day-to-day life often forces you to eat out. That is why they have a unique offer adapted to you. A midday menu to enjoy a business lunch, a break from your daily activity, or a meeting with your partner or family, all in front of the beach and only 5 minutes from the centre of Palma. A menu available only during winter months. Coming next October the 4th.
At Assaona you will only find gastronomy of the highest quality created with the best local products from land and sea. They carefully select the ingredients to offer a cuisine where tradition and modernism go hand in hand. Simple recipes, that are fresh and most of all elaborated to delight their clients with a menu deeply rooted in market products any season of the year and any hour of the day. Recently this year, Assaona has launched Anssia by Assaona menu. A new gastronomic fusion proposal elaborated with influences of mediterranean, tropical and Japanese cuisine. A true delight for the senses.
Music is another factor which guarantees a multi-sensorial experience. The taste of the dishes and the marvellous views from the visual surroundings complement the sessions from the local DJ’s, who will transport you to a surreal land through the best music.
