LUXTRA is a sustainable fashion brand that uses plant-based vegan leathers to create timeless accessories. Launched in 2019, the brand offers exquisite handbags and accessories crafted from innovative, vegan-friendly materials including pineapple leaf, apple skin, cactus leaf, corn, and mango leathers.

The luxury range never compromises on style or texture, delivering beautiful, classic pieces in a range of colours and metallic finishes.

Founded and designed by Jessica Kruger, the collection includes belt bags, totes, cross-body bags, and clutches for both men and women. Each piece is hand-finished in Italy and can be personalised with hand-painted, colourful initials for a truly bespoke touch.

LUXTRA’s Origin Story

The company was founded in 2018 and launched to the public in 2019 by serial ethical entrepreneur Jessica Kruger. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Jessica spent her barefooted childhood between the beach and the bush.

The journey of LUXTRA began in 2012 when Jessica’s mother, Sheila, took a sabbatical to volunteer at Farm Sanctuary in California—a happy forever-home for animals saved from factory farming. Watching the documentary Forks Over Knives to understand her mother’s endeavour, Jessica adopted a plant-based way of life.

Over the following years, the idea for LUXTRA emerged: to create a conscious luxury brand that people could inherently trust for beautiful, cruelty-free, and sustainability-focused items.

In 2020, LUXTRA proudly certified as a B Corporation—a new type of company that balances purpose with profit. Becoming a B Corporation provides a tangible symbol of LUXTRA’s dedication to using business as a force for good. Jessica was also the founder of the award-winning, meat-free restaurant ETHOS in central London.
