Playa d’en Bossa’s Beachouse, Ibiza
Discovering Beachouse on Playa d’en Bossa
Beachouse on Playa d’en Bossa in Ibiza is tucked away at the far end of this long, white sandy and very popular beach. If you want to dine here, book ahead—it’s mighty popular and rightly so; the food is sublime.
From the beach, Beachouse looks stylish and chic. The large day beds with soft fluffy towels and palm-fringed sunshades are a draw. You won’t want to stop at any other beach club; it’s definitely the smartest on this beach, in my humble opinion.
The Dining Experience
Before a couple of sun-drenched hours on our frontline daybed, we enjoyed the dining, and it was more than ‘fine’.
You can dine outside at your daybed, at a table in the open-air restaurant, or a little further inside where it’s cooler. The décor is typically Ibizan, with comfortable pale shades on the soft furnishings, a variety of textures, and stylish solid wood tables.
The waiting staff were eager to please for all Beachouse diners. They were super friendly and really looked like they loved their jobs. We decided to eat inside where it was beautifully cool, but we still had a fabulous view of the entire beach club and beach.
We began our culinary experience with a chilled bottle of rosé. To ensure we didn’t dehydrate in the scorching afternoon sun, we also ordered a large bottle of water. We stayed at our table for a good couple of hours, enjoying the cuisine and the company of our fellow diners, who were also savouring fabulously delicious-looking dishes.
Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine
At the heart of the Beachouse philosophy, you’ll find simple, rustic, and authentic Mediterranean fare. The dishes and drinks are prepared with the greatest attention to detail, using only the highest-quality ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible. Head chef Ezequiel Braz’s impeccable taste and commitment to excellence drive him and his dedicated team to produce consistently outstanding food.
We chose a variety of starters followed by a freshly prepared whole sea bass. To start, we had hummus with vegetable crudités and homemade pitta bread, mussels à la marinière with Lebanese bread, and Ibiza tomatoes with feta cheese, tahini sauce, and pesto. The presentation was great—lovely rustic dishes, artistically prepared and aromatic. Everything was divine, fresh, and tasty. We love sharing, and this was a perfect way to begin the feast.
We had a little break before our sea bass arrived, but once it did, it produced gasps from surrounding diners and envious looks. The waiter did an amazing job deboning and presenting the fish, and the slow-roast vegetables that accompanied it were delicious.
We were enjoying ourselves so much—wining, dining, and socialising with diners at nearby tables—that we didn’t notice how time had slipped away. Finally, we indulged in some gorgeous desserts but kept it light with a few scoops of tangy sorbet, perfectly clearing our palates.
Music and Vibes
Music is one of the main pillars of Beachouse—through it, the raw spirit of Ibiza is experienced, allowing the island’s energy to get beneath your skin.
Beachouse champions a community of local and international DJs, whose great vibes become the soundtrack to your long, lazy days here, creating a truly immersive experience.
We said our goodbyes to the friendly diners and spent the next few hours on the daybed, enjoying the sun, the music, and people-watching.
Final Thoughts
Beachouse is a very cool and sophisticated beach club. The views, staff, food, and vibes were superb. This was a very special day for us, one etched in our memories for a long time. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future.
