Harvey Nichols launches its Summer Dining – Up on the roof with vodka and views
If you love vodka and panoramic views over London, then the Rooftop at Harvey Nichols is the place for you. Available until 30 September for £25 per person, including one cocktail.
Scintillating and mouth-watering cocktails are being served by Beluga Vodka. If you haven’t tried it, you really are missing out. The flavour combinations, some unusual, play a huge part, but it’s really the vodka that makes them sing. Unlike some ‘inferior’ brands, Beluga stands up in its own right as a luxury drink, right down to the sleek and well-designed bottle. Whilst we sampled the cocktails with mixers, I believe the vodka served simply over ice would suit the most discerning of drinkers. It wouldn’t surprise me if guests could not resist buying the specially designed hampers by Harvey Nichols for another occasion. A classy vodka hamper—what bliss!
It was a beautiful summer evening, perfect for the occasion, which dispelled all thoughts of icy Siberia where it is made. Silky and honey smooth, there is no bitter edge or harshness to make you never drink it again. On the contrary, in fact, as the Beluga oozes purity with just the right amount of citrus zing.
The Stunning Rooftop Views and Menu
The view is great; you would never believe you were in the middle of Knightsbridge. We had the chance to try their summer menu, which offers a luxury selection of food to take the edge off. We really liked their duck eggs and the braised beef cheeks. Delicious! Some have described the evening as a mix between The Great Gatsby and the Riviera, and we couldn’t agree more, with such great ambience and style. Their menu is delicate and inspiring: you get a starter, a main, and a dessert for just £25, including two Beluga cocktails!
Inventive Cocktail Names
The cocktail names are inventive and intriguing, with names such as ‘Bees Knees’, ‘Sweet Pea’, and ‘Worth Its Weight’. The ‘Strawberry Martini’ is exactly what it says on the tin.
Final Thoughts
Make sure you get there before 30 September—you don’t want to miss it. A fabulous way to spend a summer evening.
