The UK search for Cora Cora Maldives Inspirational Idol is on! The five-star luxury Maldivian resort is looking for a UK Inspirational Idol – an individual who has overcome all obstacles to become an encouraging beacon of motivation for themselves and others. The competition to reveal the person who best embodies the meaning and values of inspiration and who blazes a trail for others to forge their route to fulfilment is open for entries from 1 June 2022 and the search ends at midnight on 30 June 2022. For the winner, there can be no barriers to inspiration. The Inspirational Idol winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Cora Cora Maldives on a Premium All-Inclusive – Gourmet Meal Plan® basis for two adults (over 18 years of age) for seven nights including return international flights (economy), return sea-plane transfers, and Green Tax* (*full terms and conditions apply). To bring this exciting journey of inspiration and discovery to life, the Inspirational Idol must be an individual who has overcome challenges and through perseverance has found new liberty for themselves, and perhaps motivated others to change their direction for the better. The five-star luxury resort is seeking someone like Dmitry, a passionate basketball player who discovered his true vocation for mentoring and teaching young school children through his love of the game. A young woman called Victoria is another example of a role model who struggled against the odds to overcome the sceptical judgement of her family to pursue her dream of modern dance – perhaps the ultimate expression of freedom. The strength and bravery needed to follow her dream have encouraged a whole group of young people to follow her path.

The Search for an Inspirational Idol

To find that special person as its Inspirational Idol, Cora Cora Maldives wants anybody who has inspired a friend, relative, colleague, or a community, or who has a story to tell about their individual search for personal inspiration to come forward.

Cora Cora Maldives invites people from all walks of life to enter its Inspirational Idol contest, from fields such as:

Art (painting, sculptures, installations, digital art)
Music (instrumental, composers, choirs, bands)
Performing Art (dance, ballet, acting)
Folk Tradition (traditional dance, performance, music)
Sports (traditional sports, extreme, leisure, active, or teaching)
Science (nutrition, environment, biology/chemistry)
Travel and Exploration (wilderness, survival, van life).

Application Process

Candidates must visit the official website of the contest and agree to the general terms and conditions, meet the eligibility criteria, and complete the registration form via the landing page from 1 June 2022 here.

Registration form must be filled in directly on website (from 1 June 2022).

A maximum of 500 words description in English of your path to inspiration attached to the Registration Form, along with a one-minute video with a short description as to why you think you should be crowned the “Cora Cora Inspirational Idol 2022”.

Bonus points: Post the one-minute video with a short description as to why you think you should be crowned as the “Cora Cora Inspirational Idol 2022” on your Instagram account page and put the hashtag “#CoraCoraInspirationalIdol” and tag the resort @coracoramaldives. Your page needs to be opened to the public for the entire competition period. (Not an obligation part of entry).

The winner of the Inspirational Idol Contest will be announced on 31 July. The chosen winner will receive an agreement that must be signed prior to the public announcement.

Note: Winners will be asked to assist Cora Cora Maldives whilst on holiday with some promotional activities which will include: two to three photoshoots with approval from the winner to use and publish taken photos for marketing activities in online & offline sources.
