Sheraton Grand London Park Lane brings families back together
Sheraton Grand London Park Lane offers a new service for parents on business travel, allowing them to take a mini-library of beloved bedtime stories to their hotel room to read to their children before bedtime back home.
Since lockdown ended, Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, part of Marriott International, has seen a rise in business guests. Official Marriott data for the London market shows business bookings doubled at the start of the year.
Many parents grew accustomed to the daily routine of home life while working from home, including the priceless ritual of reading a bedtime story to their little ones.
With this in mind, Sheraton Grand London Park Lane provides a mini-library of children’s stories for guests to take to their room. Using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop as a visual aid, parents can call their children at bedtime and read one of six well-known stories.
Early in the pandemic, concerns arose that business travel might be permanently impacted by the rise of remote working. However, 2021 saw a steady increase in bookings, and 2022 has witnessed a huge spike.
Justin Pinchbeck, General Manager of Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, commented: “Since the start of the year, we’ve seen a considerable rise in guests staying for work travel. We recognise that many with young children have grown accustomed to being part of their bedtime routine—a priceless experience for parent and child alike. As working from home becomes less frequent, we want to help replicate at least one element of home life while on the road.”
The Bedtime Stories library is available now at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane and will run indefinitely at no extra cost to standard room bookings. Guests simply request one or more books from reception upon check-in.
The books are available in several foreign languages, ensuring overseas travellers can enjoy this thoughtful service.
