Discovering Pantcefn Luxury Glamping in West Wales

There is nothing I love more than finding a unique, stunning staycation, and Pantcefn Luxury Glamping is exactly that! As someone who lives in Wales, I love finding a lodge surrounded by fields and breathtaking views, especially in my neighbourhood. The luxury lodges lie on the outskirts of the quaint village of Llanarth, home to a village shop and local pub—the Llanina Arms Hotel.

Your Pod Choices: Boathouse or Piglet Pod

You have two choices when you stay with Pantcefn Luxury Glamping: the Boathouse or the Piglet Pod. The Boathouse is a slightly bigger single-storey pod sleeping two guests and is perched lakeside with private decking and a jetty, ideal for a romantic retreat.

A Warm Welcome and Stunning Arrival

Upon arriving at Pantcefn Glamping fields, I was greeted by one of the owners, Dylan, who was very friendly and showed us the way to the lodge. There are parking facilities at the lodge, so you don’t have to worry about walking far. As soon as I walked into the Boathouse, it took my breath away! You can instantly see so much thought has gone into the interior design as everything matched beautifully—so stylish! You enter through glass doors lining the front of the pod, displaying uninterrupted panoramic views of the fields and jetty, giving a light and airy ambience.

Luxury Amenities Inside the Boathouse

Inside the Boathouse, there is a king-size bed with luxury bed linen, a Smart TV, and a huge shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, and heated towel rail. You will find an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and sitting area with a kitchen that includes everything you could need for your staycation. It has a fabulous selection of crockery and cutlery and even a coffee machine! The lodges are self-catering, so taking lots of your favourite snacks and a delicious meal to cook inside the lodge for a date night is a great option.

As someone who works from Wi-Fi and their laptop, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the signal and Wi-Fi inside the Boathouse worked a treat. I never struggled to get a signal, which really helped me do some work surrounded by amazing countryside views. An office doesn’t get any better than this!

Evening Bliss and Morning Delights

No matter if you are looking for a relaxing staycation or celebrating a special occasion, this is the perfect place to escape.

As the evening drew in, a beautiful orange sunset reflected over the lodge and onto the lake, and there is nothing better than climbing into a hot tub, surrounded by the sun setting over the water while enjoying a glass of bubbles. I absolutely loved the patio area with an outdoor fire pit, a huge hot tub, and romantic outdoor lighting hanging across the seating area. This created a perfect sitting space to relax in the evening!

In the morning, I was greeted by one of the owners, Catrin, who personally delivered a breakfast box filled with warm croissants, fresh juice, waffles, fruit, and so much more. This really put a smile on my face and was a great way to start the day.

Thoughtful Details That Make It Special

The luxury interior touches in the lodge didn’t go unnoticed. From the electric blinds providing privacy inside the lodge, to the magazines left on the coffee table to enjoy whilst sipping your morning coffee, and how the heating in the lodge was already on when we arrived so we were warm and toasty—all of these touches were things to remember.

If you are looking for a romantic retreat, these lodges are located a stone’s throw away from the sandy shores of Aberaeron and Penbryn.

This lodge will be a stay I remember due to the incredibly friendly welcome and amazing, thoughtful, comfortable décor.
