Chai Wu Harrods – Boasts a menu bursting with flavours
Chai Wu Harrods: A Luxurious Pan-Asian Dining Experience
What better way to spend an afternoon than shopping in Harrods of Knightsbridge, London, and then satisfying your hunger in the stunning and authentic Pan-Asian restaurant on the fifth floor, Chai Wu?
Cocktails Amidst the Glamour
We were surrounded by glamorous Harrods visitors laden with ‘little green bags’, all perusing the Chai Wu menu while enjoying a delicious cocktail.
My colleague and I both chose a Kir Royale while taking advice on the delicious dishes from the incredibly helpful staff. The menu is extensive; there is a lot to choose from.
Exquisite Starters
We chose a selection of starters that included little wagyu beef parcels, perfectly formed dim sum, gyozas, and Beijing duck pancakes. The parcels were delicate and delicious, the gyozas light and fluffy, and the duck pancakes were stunning. They were presented not only with pancakes but also with mantou buns and at least six different delicious dipping sauces. The duck was tasty and succulent; we enjoyed every mouthful.
Flavourful Mains
Our main courses were a great selection too, as recommended by the Chai Wu team. We had sticky rice, coconut prawns, Szechuan chicken, and Japanese Miyazaki beef. Each and every dish was beautifully presented and amazingly tasty.
Warm and Inviting Ambiance
The restaurant had a really laid-back vibe, taking inspiration from the five elements of Chinese philosophy – wood, metal, water, earth, and fire. It boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere that is elegant and comfortable.
Knowledgeable Staff
The waiting staff are knowledgeable and professional, with great advice when choosing your dishes that are full of wonderful flavours and textures – not only a feast for the taste buds but for the eyes too!
