About SHL Asia Founders
SHL Asia was launched in 2010 when Sasta Jelantik and Jung Yat, colleagues in an international design studio, decided to start their own company to realise their creative vision fully. Sasta Jelantik and Jung Yat shared a common interest in art, architecture, and design, nurtured from childhood by their families. Their talent and passion contributed to valuable experience and success, but their desire for complete creative freedom led them to establish a studio that has become one of Asia’s finest in design and architecture.
Desa Kala Patra Philosophy
Over the years, the SHL Asia team has grown with a diverse, creative group united by the principles of Desa Kala Patra. As quoted from their book Timeless Harmony, this ancient Balinese philosophy reflects the flexibility of Balinese society to respond to a certain place (Desa), time (Kala), and condition (Patra).
