As part of this collaboration, all stakeholders in the tourism industry, including Hideaway, will work together to implement various initiatives that focus on reducing plastic pollution, protecting coral reefs, and preserving the natural beauty of the Maldives’ pristine ocean environment. The joint efforts will include beach clean-ups, educational programmes, and the implementation of sustainable practices within the resort.

Hideaway is committed to operating as an eco-friendly establishment, having already eliminated single-use plastics. This collaboration with Parley Maldives for the Ocean further strengthens its sustainability efforts. The resort organised clean-up dives, talks on conserving the marine environment, and reef clean-ups involving in-house guests and team members. Additionally, as the resort is famous for its exquisite pristine beach on the large island, the team and guests took part in a beach clean-up as well.
