U-Boat reinforces its collection of diving watches with three extraordinary Sommerso creations. These feature a graduated bezel, two-tone dial, numbers and indexes treated with white Super-LumiNova, and water resistance up to 300 metres.

Inspired by Scuba Diving Heritage

Born from Italo Fontana’s passion for scuba diving, the Sommerso embodies the entire DNA of U-Boat. It meets all the mandatory technical requirements for a professional diving watch, combined with a style that makes it perfect for any occasion.

Premium Craftsmanship and Design

These new 46 mm Sommerso watches, previewed at Watches & Wonders, boast a satin-finished stainless steel (AISI 316L) case in three dial versions with original colours. They are characterised by the indispensable unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert—an essential element of a professional dive watch for calculating remaining dive time.

The dials feature a predominant colour in the upper part that fades into deep black in the lower part, with two shades of colour also reproduced in the respective bezels. Available combinations include burgundy, dark green, and blue, all fading into black. The two-tone rotating bezels adopt the same colour combinations as the dials, except for the burgundy model, which features a completely black bezel.

These colour variations harmonise under the anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a 24-hour indicator, a date window with a small magnifying lens on the crystal for easy reading in any lighting condition, luminous white indexes and numerals for nighttime visibility, and hands adorned with small red details.

Technical Excellence and Signature Details

On the left side of the case is the iconic crown cover, allowing free movement of the wrist, secured by its respective protective hook. On the side, there is a plaque with the engraved serial number, while the case back is sealed with seven screws, ensuring water resistance beyond 300 metres. Inside, the Swiss precision movement is powered by the automatic Sellita SW200 calibre.
