Terlingham Vineyard’s latest rosé boasts a rose petal blush thanks to the Rondo grape.

Terlingham Vineyard, the sustainable family-run vineyard on the Kentish coast, has released its latest seasonal rosé, Terlingham 2022 Pinot Noir & Rondo, produced with a unique blend of hand-picked grapes—including the highly regarded Rondo—from which the still wine takes its elegant pink hue.

Produced on the same chalk seam as the Champagne region and without need for intervention to produce its stunning colour, this 2022 release offers more than a standard Pinot Noir rosé. The addition of the Rondo grape, complemented by a touch of the Dornfelder grape, results in a truly special blend that boasts a delectable colour and hint of spice and warmth.

Tasting Notes and Pairings

Light and crisp, Terlingham’s 2022 Pinot Noir & Rondo Rosé has enticing aromas of fresh wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, and a hint of ginger. On the palate, it delivers delicious red fruit with a lovely long finish, allowing its delightful flavour to be savoured.

As a wonderfully light and dry rosé, it pairs beautifully with light pasta dishes, salads, seafood, and grilled fish. It’s also an excellent accompaniment to fresh or young cheeses like feta, mozzarella, and cheddar.

Terlingham Vineyard follows an eco-friendly approach to farming that does not use any artificial chemicals or fertilisers. Based on a beauty spot overlooking the Kent coastline, the vines enjoy a fresh sea breeze and chalky soils. On occasion, the vineyard collaborates with other carefully selected, like-minded small vineyards to source additional outstanding grapes.
