Tors Park Devon – nestles against the rugged Exmoor coastline
Have you ever visited a place that was too amazing to put into words? Tors Park is exactly that. This special retreat is one-of-a-kind.
Tors Park is a luxury self-catering accommodation in Devon featuring incredible riverside and sea views over Lynmouth Bay and the picturesque fishing harbour. I experienced an unforgettable staycation at Tors Park and completely understand why people fall in love with it!
Upon arriving at Tors Park, I was greeted with an amazing view of the blue sea. You feel like you are up quite high, which instantly sets the scene for a relaxing break away in peace and quiet.
Tors Park has apartments available for smaller groups or up to 6 people, so there’s something for everyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. What’s more, their apartments are family- and dog-friendly, making Tors Park the perfect place for an exceptional stay.
My Dachshund Molly was lucky enough to enjoy Tors Park too, and inside the apartment, we found treats with her name on them and a personalised letter. Throughout the apartment, the staff had kindly left little gifts that referenced Devon and our location: Luscombe Sicilian Lemonade, Burts Hand-Crafted Chips, candles made in Devon, and a fresh bunch of flowers. This was a lovely gesture, and personal touches like this really go a long way.
Ocean Penthouse
My accommodation during the trip was the beautiful Ocean Penthouse. This is a spacious, 3-bedroom apartment offering open-plan living for 6 people. It features stunning sea views across Lynmouth Harbour, in close proximity to local restaurants, cafés, and unrivalled walking routes.
The Ocean Penthouse is the ideal accommodation for larger groups, as it features a master bedroom located on a mezzanine level with an en-suite bathroom, in addition to two other spacious bedrooms. The kitchen, dining area, and living space provide open-plan living with a double-height ceiling. The living space, as well as the two balconies and terrace, offer breathtaking views of Lynmouth Harbour and the surrounding area.
The Penthouse has a log burner, perfect for cosy evenings in winter, en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and comes equipped with everything you could need during your stay—for example, towels, cutlery, washing machine tablets, tea, coffee, and milk to get you started. The staff at Tors Park have everything covered!
Upon arrival, I found the penthouse to be immaculately clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail in terms of cleanliness did not go unnoticed and contributed to a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Breathtaking Views
One thing about Tors Park that is unmatched by anywhere else in the UK is the stunning views. There was nothing better than waking up to the sea views. All of the bedrooms had views of the sea, which made waking up a joyful moment! We were blessed with sunny weather during our stay, which meant we could explore the town and enjoy sitting on the balcony soaking up the sea breeze.
Outstanding Location
The penthouse’s location is outstanding. Perched high above the crashing waves, it offers panoramic views of the ocean that stretch as far as the eye can see. The sound of the waves and the fresh sea breeze make it an ideal retreat for anyone seeking a serene escape.
Luxury and Comfort
Inviting Interiors
The penthouse offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The bedrooms are cosy and provide a good night’s sleep, and the open-plan layout of the living space adds to the sense of relaxation. The highlight, of course, is stepping out onto the private balcony and watching the sun dip below the horizon. We were lucky to witness a few sunsets during our stay, and these golden moments were ones to cherish. You really capture the perfect golden hour whilst staying at Tors Park, as you are so high up.
Unmissable Activities Near Tors Park
Lynmouth Harbour in Devon is a charming and picturesque destination that offers a variety of activities for visitors seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the coastal landscape. Here’s my list of things to do while staying at Tors Park:

Connecting Lynmouth to Lynton, this unique attraction provides stunning panoramic views of the coastline. The ride itself is an experience, as the charmingly vintage railway cars traverse the steep incline. The viewpoints at the top offer breathtaking vistas that are sure to leave a lasting impression.
Harbour Strolls and Boat Trips
Lynmouth Harbour is perfect for leisurely strolls along the waterfront. The scenic beauty, with boats gently swaying in the water, is a sight to behold. The clean and well-maintained pathways offer serene views of the sea, making it an ideal spot for a romantic walk or a peaceful moment of solitude. Embarking on a boat trip from Lynmouth Harbour is a fantastic way to experience the coastline from a different perspective—perfect for wildlife spotting amid rugged cliffs and hidden coves.
Exmoor National Park Adventures
Lynmouth serves as a gateway to the exquisite Exmoor National Park. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, you’re in for a treat. The park offers hiking, cycling, and horse riding amidst lush greenery, rolling hills, and serene moorland—a haven for nature lovers and photographers.
Local Dining and Family Fun
For delicious fish and chips, the award-winning Esplanade on the harbourside is not to be missed! We enjoyed a feast from this chip shop one night and tucked in back at Tors Park at our dining table, with views overlooking the sea—it was absolutely delicious. Hole in 1 Lynmouth was great fun for the entire family, with 18-hole or 36-hole crazy golf and tennis options. The kiosk provides fresh coffee, drinks, sweets, and ice cream.
The penthouse itself is a haven of luxury and comfort. The spacious living areas provided ample space for the family to spread out and relax. The tasteful coastal-themed décor instantly put us in a holiday mood, and the large windows allowed us to enjoy the ocean views from almost every corner. The well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze, and the dining area was perfect for sharing memorable family dinners.
The combination of luxury, comfort, and family-friendly features made it an ideal choice for our holiday. Whether exploring nearby attractions or simply unwinding in the penthouse, every moment was memorable. The attentive team ensured that all our needs were met promptly and with a smile.
