Only recently, ABT Sportsline, the leading tuner for Audi and VW Group vehicles, presented the special model ABT RS6 Legacy Edition (LE). This high-performance sports car serves as the culmination of two decades of RS6 history. Now ABT Sportsline is following suit with another fascinating special model, the ABT RS7 Legacy Edition (LE), which is also limited to 200 units and meets the very highest standards.

Audi presented the RS7 in 2013. With an extensive facelift, the powerful Audi RS7 Sportback entered its second generation in 2020. Since then, the look of the RS7 has differed considerably from that of other A7 versions. The front apron with the honeycomb inlays typical of Audi Sport and the huge air intakes create a martial appearance. At the rear, the standard RS7 features the oval tailpipes typical of all Audi RS models.

Now the engineers at ABT Sportsline have taken the top model based on the A7 series and elevated it to a new level with many technological advances and refinements. ABT increased the standard 463 kW (630 hp) of the Audi RS7 Performance (engine code: DYGA) to approximately 559 kW (760 hp) with a maximum torque of 980 Nm, including the ABT turbocharger and ABT intercooler with the in-house ABT POWER R technology.

The suspension, adapted to the increased performance, features ABT coilover springs and ABT sports stabilisers on the front and rear axles to ensure perfect road holding at all times. The free-standing rear spoiler and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport 295/30 ZR22 tyres mounted on ABT HIGH PERFORMANCE IR22 forged rims in glossy black also contribute. These track-inspired high-performance tyres offer superior handling on dry roads and extremely balanced performance on wet roads.

What also makes the ABT RS7 Legacy Edition visually special is the “Signature Carbon Bold” surface used on the add-on parts. In addition to the ABT Carbon insert integrated into the bonnet, this striking structure adorns the front lip with integrated front blades, the front skirt inserts, the front grille attachment, the mirror cap attachments, side skirt inserts, side blades, the rear skirt insert, and the newly designed free-standing rear wing.

For the appropriate orchestration, ABT Sportsline has installed a modern ABT silencer system made of stainless steel, ending in ABT 4-pipe trims with a diameter of 102 mm.

Of course, the ABT RS7 Legacy Edition also impresses with its inner values. ABT Sportsline refined the interior with Dinamica soul fabric on the gear knob cap, dashboard, and seat frame trims. This soft, suede-like surface is not only particularly flame-retardant but also optimally protected against moisture and dirt thanks to its Teflon coating.

The special model ABT RS7 Legacy Edition is also visually distinguished from the standard RS7 by the refinement of the front seats with the ABT logo in the headrest and the RS7-LE logo at the top of the backrest. The corresponding logo is also embroidered into the ABT floor mats.

The ABT steering wheel stands out with its high-quality Alcantara finish and the sporty 12 o’clock marking, which shines discreetly red through the perforated material. Every ABT steering wheel retains the full range of sensors, identical to the original Audi steering wheel. Further modifications to the interior include door entry lighting and the start-stop switch cap.

Of course, the ABT RS7 Legacy Edition is compatible with the “myABT” app. This provides insight into the vehicle’s performance data such as power, coolant, and intake air temperature. Future owners can experience their vehicle’s special features particularly closely and intensively via the MMI with Apple CarPlay. They also gain access to various Charisma settings such as ECO, SPORT, or RACE for needs-based adjustment of performance characteristics to fuel quality.
