Escape the ordinary and immerse yourself in a world of luxury at Bailbrook House, a distinguished hotel nestled in the historic city of Bath, Somerset. From the moment you arrive, the magnificence of this elegant Georgian mansion envelopes you, promising a stay that transcends the everyday.
The rooms and suites at Bailbrook House are a testament to refined comfort. Immerse yourself in the plush furnishings, soft linens, and tasteful decor. The attention to detail is evident, with modern amenities seamlessly integrated into the classical design, providing a haven of relaxation.
You can find comfort in one of 75 classic and executive bedrooms in Bailbrook Court, the hotel’s contemporary wing, each designed with your every need in mind. Or choose to stay in one of 13 individually styled feature rooms and suites with quintessential features in the original mansion house. Wind down with a luxuriously long soak in your roll-top bath before easing into the crisp sheets of a decadent four-poster bed.
Lady Isabella King Suite
The Lady Isabella King Suite is an absolutely stunning room located in the mansion house, featuring views of the Avon Valley, a side lawn, and mature trees.
This bedroom benefits from a separate dressing area with wooden floors that continue into the bathroom. Everything is designed for double occupancy, and the double rain shower and twin sinks make a real statement. The white roll-top bathtub is positioned in the centre of the bathroom opposite the tall windows.
Guests can enjoy a hospitality tray offering a selection of Fairtrade teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and biscuits, along with use of the hotel’s waffle robes, a selection of lifestyle magazines, and 24-hour room service. On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Champagne and fresh fruit to enjoy in our room.
Cloisters Restaurant
The dining experience at Bailbrook House was exceptional. The restaurant is tucked away in the historic mansion where the heritage of this country house hotel in Bath truly comes into its own, with original archways crafted from traditional Bath stone.
Head Chef Michael Ball has designed a menu that celebrates classic ingredients and modern flavour combinations, creating an exceptional modern British dining experience for guests. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, pointing out their recommendations. The steak was cooked to perfection — a dinner I didn’t want to end.
The following morning, we enjoyed breakfast delivered by room service, allowing us to relax and savour the morning before checking out. The breakfast menu was impressive, with an extensive range of options, fresh juice, and fruit — delivered promptly and with everything we could need.

Things to Do
Regarded as one of Britain’s most attractive cities, Bailbrook House Hotel is the perfect base to explore all that Bath has to offer.
Nestled in the Avon Valley between the Cotswolds and the Mendip Hills in the county of Somerset, the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath is 97 miles west of London and 11 miles southeast of Bristol. Its honey-coloured local stone has been used extensively in the town’s architecture, but it is perhaps best known for the archaeological wonder from which it takes its name — the 2,000-year-old Roman Baths.
Just a 30-minute walk from the centre of Bath, the Grade II listed hotel boasts an array of individually styled feature bedrooms, lounges, a fine dining restaurant, and a conservatory bar and lounge.
Whether you are after a romantic short break or a fun family holiday, Bailbrook House Hotel is the perfect Bath getaway.
