Customer service and our commitment to providing the best possible service by adapting the hotel to clients’ needs give us very high ratings, and we aim to continue along this path.
How does your team at Son Penya maintain environmental responsibilities in its operations?
We separate our waste and encourage recycling as much as possible. Our hotel strives for self-sufficiency in energy, with solar panels guaranteeing around 50% of our needs.
What challenges have you faced in managing a luxury hotel in a competitive market like Mallorca?
Our challenge is to maintain high quality at all levels: caring for the environment, offering an integral experience including a surprising restaurant, and ensuring 100% involvement from our team.
As General Manager, how do you ensure a positive work environment among your staff?
We foster a healthy environment with growth opportunities. As a small hotel chain, we offer progression when employees seek new challenges. We encourage companionship, and with only 21 rooms, collaboration is complete—everyone helps each other.
What forward-thinking technologies or practices have you introduced to streamline hotel operations and improve efficiency?
We have our own app to inform guests about everything the hotel offers.
How do you stay updated on industry trends and ensure Son Penya remains ahead in guest experience?
We keep our knowledge current and seek new ways to satisfy customers. We ensure repeat guests always find something new, while prioritising tranquillity and relaxation at Son Penya.
In your view, what unique selling points set Son Penya Hotel apart from other hotels in Mallorca?
Son Penya offers relaxation, tranquillity, silence, nature, excellent gastronomy, and meticulous attention to detail. This combination satisfies most clients.
Can you share a memorable success story or achievement at Son Penya that you’re particularly proud of?
Every year, we’ve improved our reputation on online platforms, thanks to our staff’s impressive work and maintaining top quality in accommodation, service, gastronomy, relaxation, and spa.
Have unexpected challenges like COVID-19 affected you, and how do you maintain the hotel’s staying power and success?
Obviously. The 2020 and 2021 seasons were very challenging, but we kept the hotel open to allow our team to work through most of the season.
