The family-run Italian restaurant group San Carlo has announced the rebrand of its Knightsbridge site, transforming from Cicchetti into one of the brand’s much-loved flagship restaurants.

A New Chapter in Knightsbridge

Located on Hans Road, adjacent to Harrods, San Carlo Knightsbridge opens seven days a week, serving freshly prepared, regionally inspired plates made mostly from ingredients sourced directly from artisan producers in Italy.

San Carlo Knightsbridge offers a traditional Italian food and beverage menu in keeping with San Carlo’s timeless style. Using the best of new-season produce, the winter menu includes a delicious variety of carne (meat), pesci (fish), and dolci (sweet) dishes, alongside new starters and pasta dishes.

The 100-cover restaurant spans two floors and features a standalone bar and a private dining room for 18 guests. The elegant interiors reflect Venetian architecture, influenced by the work of Carlo Scarpa, with varnished wood and a light palette inspired by the water taxis and luxury yachts of the region.

San Carlo Knightsbridge won the Overall Restaurant Winner and Best Europe Restaurant/Bar titles at the 2023 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards — a prestigious recognition celebrating creative spaces and the talent behind them. The rebrand of San Carlo Knightsbridge is the latest milestone from the San Carlo group, which opened its first restaurant in 1992 on Temple Street, Birmingham. Now a £100M award-winning family-run restaurant group, San Carlo currently operates 25 authentic Italian restaurants across the UK.
