Swiss brokerage house and Polish shipyard announce strategic partnership to strengthen their already strong business relationship.

Sunreef Yachts, renowned worldwide for their luxury sailing and power catamarans and pioneering eco technology, has officially partnered with Ocean Independence Auckland to expand its brokerage presence in New Zealand. “We’re very proud to represent Sunreef Yachts in New Zealand,” said Lars Björklund, Head of Ocean Independence in New Zealand. “Their forward-thinking designs align perfectly with what our clients are seeking — spacious, elegant vessels that are equally capable of long-range cruising and luxury lifestyle experiences. The Sunreef 43M Eco, the first vessel in Sunreef’s largest and most eco-friendly yacht series, has been sold by Tim Quinlan, Sales and Purchase Consultant at Ocean Independence, and is managed by Ocean Independence as project managers and owner representatives. The yacht, with its 1,700-square-metre composite hull, will be delivered this year.

The New Zealand team of Ocean Independence also has considerable knowledge and experience with Sunreef catamarans. Sales and Purchase Consultant Blair MacLeod managed GINETTE, a Sunreef 70′, currently in Auckland, and was an integral part of her build, as well as being based at the yard. He oversaw the catamaran’s travels from Poland to France, the Caribbean, Tahiti, Fiji, and on to New Zealand.

The office has represented two Sunreef catamarans for charter in the South Pacific and is seeing high demand for yachts like this in the region.

The Auckland Viaduct office of Ocean Independence is in an ideal location for the coveted brand, bringing Sunreef’s customisable multihulls to discerning South Pacific buyers, offering unmatched access to the brand’s global expertise through a trusted local partner.
