The Rise of Conscious Luxury at Bingham Riverhouse

As luxury continues to evolve beyond materiality toward meaning and experience, Bingham Riverhouse offers a quietly distinctive model – where wellbeing, creativity and community sit at the heart of the house rather than as additions to it.

At the centre of this approach is bhuti, the in-house ‘Soul Health’ concept founded by Sama Trinder, which has become an established part of the Riverhouse experience over recent years. For Spring 2026, a new season of immersive events continues this evolution, bringing together leading voices across creativity, embodiment and holistic health.

Set within the riverside setting of the house in Richmond, the programme reflects a wider shift toward more intentional ways of living—where connection and shared experience shape how luxury is understood and experienced today.

A Creative Exploration with Pip Broughton

Among the season’s highlights is a four-part immersive series led by creative mentor Pip Broughton. Focused on generative creativity, the programme explores how individuals can develop new ways of thinking, communicating and expressing ideas with clarity and confidence.

Across the series, participants are guided through themes including creative being, communication, ideation and storytelling, blending practical tools with reflective practice to support both personal and professional development.

Nourished: Rethinking Wellbeing Through Conversation

On Tuesday 12 May (6.30–7.30 pm), Nourished brings a salon-style evening of conversation to Bingham Riverhouse, exploring modern wellbeing through lived experience and multidisciplinary insight.

Hosted by embodiment coach Anthea Bell, the panel brings together actress and BBC presenter Gemma Oaten; screenwriter and author Rose Cartwright (3 Body Problem); facilitator and educator Jamie Clements; and sports nutritionist Renee McGregor, whose work includes supporting elite athletes such as Team GB.

Together, they offer a grounded and human exploration of resilience, healing and what it means to feel well in today’s world.

A Broader Rhythm of Wellbeing

Alongside the headline events, the wider programme includes smaller-scale restorative sessions throughout the season, from sound baths to embodied practices. These are designed as ongoing opportunities for members and guests to step into a slower, more reflective time within the house.

One such session includes the Oasis Sound Bath, part of the Riverhouse members’ programme.

A Continuation of an Established Philosophy

Rather than a new direction, the Spring 2026 programme reflects the continued evolution of bhuti’s ‘Soul Health’ philosophy – an integrated approach to wellbeing that considers emotional, physical and energetic balance.

Within Bingham Riverhouse, this sits naturally alongside a broader commitment to conscious hospitality, where sustainability, creativity and community inform a more considered expression of modern luxury.

About Bingham Riverhouse

Overlooking the Thames at the gateway to Richmond, Bingham Riverhouse is an independent, B Corp-certified members’ house and boutique stay where heritage, design and conscious living converge. Once a private residence—and home to literary figures Katherine Bradley and Edith Cooper (Michael Field)—the house has long been a place of creativity and gathering.

Led by owner Sama Trinder, whose family acquired the property in 1984, it has evolved from a bohemian B&B into a purpose-driven luxury destination shaped by food, wellbeing and community. Today, it offers seasonal dining with an award-winning restaurant led by Vanessa Marx, riverside gardens and holistic wellness experiences, alongside a commitment to thoughtful, community-focused hospitality—delivering a modern expression of luxury that is intimate, independent and deeply connected to its setting.
