Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort sits on the southwest coast of Cyprus, occupying 111 acres of seafront at the boundary of the Akamas National Park — one of the last remaining wilderness areas on the island. Located 25 minutes from Paphos city centre and 40 minutes from Paphos International Airport, the resort is elevated above Kafizis Beach, a Blue Flag-certified stretch of coastline with flourishing reefs and white cliffs. Built from traditional Cyprus stone, the same pale material found throughout the surrounding landscape, the arrival alone sets a particular tone.

Inside, 202 sea-facing rooms and suites span twelve categories, from the entry-level Cap Thalassa rooms with pool-facing terraces to the Akamas Presidential Villa Suite — a 990-square-metre, seven-bedroom property with a 20-metre infinity pool and space for up to 18 guests. Rooms are dressed in white oak and Crema Marfil marble throughout, with panoramic windows and private balconies across all categories. The design language is consistent: understated, Mediterranean, and oriented entirely toward the sea.

At the centre of the resort is the Agora, a village square-style space housing restaurants, an all-day café, boutiques, and an open-air cinema for kids — an approach that gives a property of this scale a genuine sense of communal life. The resort’s ten restaurants and bars range from Kohili, a beachside Mediterranean seafood restaurant set beneath a canopy of olive trees, to Bonsai, which offers teppanyaki and sushi, Sapori for rustic Italian, and the intimate Sky Seven on the seventh floor — 32 covers, adults only, with panoramic Mediterranean views and a fine dining menu with its rotation of Michelin Chef Events to match. Breakfast is served daily at Yeronissos, whose interior features oak pillars shaped like trees and a Calacatta Gold marble buffet station.

The Cleopatra Spa spans 2,585 square metres — one of the largest on the island — and features eight treatment rooms and two private spa suites, hydrotherapy pools, cold plunge pools, Rasoul mud chambers, and a full thermal suite, alongside products from Valmont, Cinq Mondes and Kypwell. The signature Akamas Journey treatment draws directly from the landscape and traditions of the surrounding peninsula. A fully equipped state-of-the-art fitness centre, indoor pool, and programme of Yoga, Pilates and group classes complete the wellness offer.

Experiences at the resort connect guests to the local environment and culture. George’s Horse Ranch, the resort’s own equestrian facility, offers coastal rides past white cliffs and along the shoreline, with trails ranging from 30 to 45 minutes as well as dedicated sunset rides. Private yacht excursions navigate the protected Natura 2000 waters of the Akamas Peninsula, stopping at sea caves accessible only by boat. Within walking distance of the resort, the sea caves near Kafizis Beach are home to the Mediterranean monk seal ( Monachus-Monachus) — among the rarest seal species in the world. Guided conservation tours to Lara Bay allow guests to observe turtle nesting activity with a qualified guide. Other curated experiences include halloumi-making, beekeeping with local apiarists, and Cyprus wine tasting, exploring varietals from the crisp white, Xynisteri, to the ancient dessert wine, Commandaria.

Sustainability is embedded into the resort’s operations, recently awarded with the highest GSTC distinction. The Perivoli — the resort’s own 44,000-square-metre kitchen garden — produces tomatoes, courgettes, herbs, citrus, grapes, and eggs for use across the restaurants, and guests are invited to take part in the weekly harvest. The farm-to-table loop is genuine rather than gestural. Solar panels heat water across the property, an EV fleet is used for on-site transport, LED lighting with motion sensors manages energy consumption, and a single-use plastic reduction programme is in place throughout, whilst striving to support local communities. The resort holds a Green Key certification — the internationally recognised standard for environmentally responsible hospitality — and its position bordering the Akamas National Park gives that commitment both context and consequence.

Opened in June 2022, Cap St Georges is, by most measures, still in its opening chapter but already innovating and evolving with three major new projects set to operate in 2026: a Dive Centre, the first Top Golf Venue in Cyprus, next to a fully immersive all-ages Water Park.
