International actor, singer, and songwriter Antonio Lopez continues to captivate audiences through heartfelt storytelling and artistic authenticity. With his deeply personal album Desde Mi Silencio and an expanding acting career, he shares emotions, experiences, and creative passions that resonate worldwide.

Desde Mi Silencio is your most personal album yet. What inspired you to share such intimate experiences through these songs?

I felt the need to convey emotions of the heart, such as sadness and joy, love and heartbreak, fidelity and infidelity, platonic loves that only exist in the mind and where you never exchange a word, and I believe that everyone has experienced these emotions at some point in their lives.

The album explores themes of love, heartbreak, hope, and self-reflection. Which song feels closest to your heart, and why?

For me, all songs are special because they reflect a specific moment in my life, but for me, the song titled Te Hablo is special because it reflects the lack of communication with your partner when one of you wants to talk and the other person only responds with “I love you”.

You wrote, composed, and arranged the entire album yourself. What was the most rewarding—and most challenging—part of that process?

The most special part for me is when you sit down with your notebook and start listening to your heart, and then transform the voice of your heart into words. But then it’s a whole team process with other people to define the result and present it to the public, because it’s thanks to the public that I can share my music.

Your music blends romantic ballads with contemporary sounds. How would you describe your musical style to someone discovering your work for the first time?

I would define my musical style as one in which I don’t imitate anyone, in which I try to be myself from the humility of my heart, knowing the difficulty nowadays in all aspects of life of talking about love and heartbreak, and always respecting the audience.

The title Desde Mi Silencio (“From My Silence”) is incredibly evocative. What does silence mean to you as an artist and as a person?

For me, silence means the moment when I connect with my heart and listen to its voice, isolating myself from the noise of the world, and calmly listening to my heart and reflecting on my mistakes and successes as a person and also in making decisions about love and friendship that you have to reflect on without haste and calmly, and only your heart gives you the answer by listening to it, and those moments are special to me.

Your mother played an important role in encouraging your creative journey. What is the most valuable lesson she taught you that still guides you today?

The most important lesson my mother has taught me as a manager is that in my work, I have to respect the public, which is the most important thing because, thanks to the audience, I can continue moving forward in this difficult artistic world. My mother has also taught me to always be myself and maintain my moments of reality with my childhood friends, and that all criticism helps me grow as a person and as an artist.

You have successfully built careers in both music and acting. Do you approach storytelling differently when you’re performing a song versus portraying a character on screen?

I believe that interpreting a song, interpreting a character on screen, or posing in a photo shoot is all the same to me because you have to immerse yourself and interpret the story or script in front of you so that the audience sees that you are conveying what you feel in that particular moment and task.

The album has achieved impressive recognition across Spain, including Gold status. Was there a particular moment when the success of the project truly felt real to you?

The moment I felt this was real was when I started singing in concerts, but I’m also aware that one day the audience might tell me, “Antonio, change your life.”

Having connected with audiences across different countries and cultures, what do you think is the universal emotion that brings people together through music and film?

For me, music and film unite us all through love because love is the force that moves the world without us even realising it.
