Luxuria Reviews The Freedom of Glamping, Moreton-in-Marsh
If you’re looking for a staycation that feels like a proper escape without having to travel too far, Experience Freedom Glamping in Moreton-in-Marsh is a brilliant choice. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, it offers the perfect balance of getting back to nature while still having all the comforts you need – making it particularly wonderful for families, but equally enjoyable for couples looking for a peaceful countryside break.
One of the things we loved most was the location. The glamping site feels wonderfully tucked away, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet you’re less than a 10-minute walk from Moreton-in-Marsh. A lovely countryside path and fields sit right alongside the lodges, making it easy to head into town on foot while enjoying the scenery along the way.
The lodges themselves are wonderfully thought out, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. They sleep two adults and two children, making them a fantastic option for a family getaway. Inside, you’ll find a cosy living area, a bathroom complete with toilet and, surprisingly for a glamping lodge, a huge shower… something we particularly appreciated after busy days exploring.
There’s also an outdoor terrace, which is perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the fresh Cotswolds air once the children are in bed. The accommodation is self-catering too, so you have the freedom to bring your own food and make the lodge your home for the duration of your stay. Wi-Fi is available on site, so you don’t have to completely disconnect unless you want to.
For families, the site has plenty to keep little ones entertained, including a children’s play area, while there’s also a dedicated dog-walking area, making it a brilliant option if you want to bring your four-legged friend along too. It really is the sort of place where everyone is catered for.
Another feature we loved was the food offering. Rather than simply being left to fend for yourself, there’s a different food option available on site each day. From local coffee shop vans to pizza vans and other tasty offerings, there is always something to look forward to. Of course, if you’d rather cook your own meals, you have everything you need to do that too.
And then there’s the location. Being based in Moreton-in-Marsh means you’re perfectly positioned to explore so much of the Cotswolds, with plenty of attractions, villages and family-friendly days out within easy reach.
One of our favourite days was spent at Cotswold Farm Park, which is nearby and made for such a fun family adventure. We particularly loved visiting during the Peppa Pig experience, which made the day extra special for our little one. The farm regularly hosts different activities and events, so there’s always something happening throughout the year.
A day at Cotswold Farm Park is certainly one to add to your itinerary, with twice-daily bottle feeding, indoor and outdoor play, a rare breeds walkway and plenty more to enjoy. It’s the kind of attraction where you can easily spend a whole day exploring, making it perfect for families with young children.
For us, Experience Freedom Glamping offered everything we look for in a staycation – beautiful surroundings, plenty to do, comfortable accommodation and the freedom to explore at your own pace.
Whether you’re planning a family adventure, a dog-friendly getaway or simply want to escape to the Cotswolds as a couple, this is a stay that makes it easy to slow down, get outside and enjoy everything this beautiful part of the country has to offer. And with Moreton-in-Marsh right on your doorstep, you really can have the best of both worlds: countryside tranquillity with all the conveniences of a charming Cotswolds town just a short walk away.
