Luxuria Lifestyle Reviews The Kimpton Everley Hollywood

For over a century, Los Angeles has been the epitome of glamour, show business and traffic, with more cars crammed into a freeway than there are stars on the Walk of Fame. The city is so magnetic that there have been countless songs and movies dedicated to it, endless amounts of events and towns worth exploring, to the point where you can occasionally feel overwhelmed. That’s why we recommend a stay at the Kimpton Everly, located amidst all the noise while remaining somehow wonderful and tranquil.

The Kimpton is one of those relaxing respites that’s still located amidst the action. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, you are only steps from the Walk of Fame while feeling miles away. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows framing the city skyline—like a John Sherman Register painting without the seething dread—a rooftop pool perfect for golden hour dips, and a vibe that is incredibly chill while remaining effortlessly chic, this is a perfect example of how Kimpton turns city resorts into serene escapes. There’s a Kimpton in practically every major city. You can always rely on the brand to provide restful luxury.

Starting with the rooms, you can expect bright, airy, mid-century modern spaces, each with their own distinct view of Los Angeles. I stayed on the top floor, overlooking a suburban jungle of buildings all perfectly falling into place like Legos, the Griffith Observatory to my right and the Hollywood sign directly in front. In keeping with Los Angeles’ “hip” culture, the walls were unfinished slabs of white cement, showing cracks in the foundation, giving the vibe of an underground art show while remaining equally cosy and sophisticated- the kind of space you can easily unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I let out a long sigh as I fell into my bed, following what seemed like a marathon of steps at the Griffith Observatory, effortlessly relaxed as I waited for my dinner reservation at Wolfgang Puck’s nearby Spago.

There are so many spaces for quiet relaxation at the Kimpton. The lobby is contemporary yet laid-back, an open-plan layout where glasses of wine clink amidst friends and golden hour light seeps through wide-frame windows. The restaurant, Jane Q, offers delectable breakfast under a 100-foot hanger ceiling, ink-black tiles and waves of California sunshine. The pool, however, is the real standout—located on the fifth floor, you can enjoy Instagram-worthy views of Los Angeles while soaking up beams of chartreuse sun. Grab a tanning bed or cabana, and feel like a celebrity for a day as you swim in between sips of Aperol in your chicest, most eye-catching attire. On weekends, there’s live music at the pool area, labelled The Scene, giving guests and locals the chance to live their best LA summer life.

I’ve spent countless days in Los Angeles, exploring this eternal city with family, friends and girlfriend, the unique neighbourhoods, beaches, cuisines, hikes, museums, events, parks, cafes, and so much more of what this perpetual sprawl of a city has to offer, and I can honestly say there isn’t a better location to be than Kimpton Everly. Located in the eye of the storm, the beating heart of this swirling city, Kimpton Everly is so close—or as close as you can be with traffic —to so much of what makes up this myriad, magnificent town, while remaining a tranquil oasis for tourists. You don’t need to leave the Kimpton to see the city of stars shining, beaming, illuminating, just for you.
