Natalia’s eye has been shaped by a lifetime of looking, learning and collecting. She first studied at the École du Louvre in Paris before studying Art History at Oxford University, developing both a knowledge of art and an enduring curiosity about objects, materials and the people and cultures behind them.

Her education continued in a more hands-on way in London, where she worked for a dealer specialising in Islamic and Indian art and antique textiles. Surrounded by extraordinary craftsmanship, she developed a fascination with fabric, pattern and textile design—an influence still evident in the textiles, wallpaper and fashion designs she buys and sells today.

Later, working for an art display firm gave her an understanding of how presentation can transform the way we see an object. The relationship between an artwork and a wall, an antique and contemporary furniture, or a textile and its surroundings can reveal qualities that might otherwise be overlooked.

“I notice small details that can become the starting point for a scheme, or even a new way of displaying things. Sometimes I take something ordinary or overlooked and give it a whole new meaning.”

This ability to notice, reinterpret and bring seemingly disparate pieces together now lies at the heart of Natalia’s work.

Moving from London to Yorkshire with her family marked a new chapter. Natalia trained as an upholsterer, bringing her love of textiles into the practical world of furniture, fabric and interiors while deepening her appreciation for craftsmanship.

It was also in Yorkshire that her business began, in wonderfully understated fashion. Natalia started selling art from a portfolio kept beneath the sofa at home. There was no gallery or elaborate showroom; art was quite literally part of everyday life—an idea that still defines her approach today.

More than eighteen years later, the business has evolved organically around Natalia’s interests and eye. Art sits alongside antiques, ceramics and decorative pieces, as well as vintage and contemporary costume jewellery. Everything is chosen for its craftsmanship, originality and enduring appeal.

Buying remains intensely personal. Knowledge and experience inform Natalia’s choices, but instinct plays an equally important part. The question is not simply whether something is valuable or important, but whether it has presence. Does it make you stop? Is there something unusual in the colour, form or workmanship? Most importantly, would you want to live with it?

As well as sourcing pieces to sell online, Natalia works with private clients to style their homes and find art, antiques and decorative objects for particular spaces.

Rather than imposing a particular aesthetic, she begins with what a client already owns, finding new ways to arrange, combine and appreciate their possessions while introducing carefully sourced pieces that add individuality, warmth and character.

Whether searching for a particular artwork or antique, an unusual decorative piece or jewellery, Natalia draws on years of experience and a wide network of sources to find things that feel distinctive and personal rather than ubiquitous.

Her own Yorkshire home is an expression of this philosophy and provides the backdrop for many of the pieces she sells. Antiques live comfortably alongside later design; artworks, textiles and ceramics are rearranged and rediscovered; objects arrive, find their place and eventually leave for another home.

For Natalia, an antique does not require an antique interior, just as a contemporary home need not contain only contemporary pieces. Often it is the conversation between different periods, styles and materials that gives a room its personality.
