We had such a fabulous experience at Stefania London and left feeling that we had discovered somewhere really special. From the moment we arrived, there was an amazing vibe to the restaurant. The décor is chic but also relaxed and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a leisurely Italian meal. The friendly and attentive service added so much fun to the evening and helped create a genuinely wonderful buzz.

And, of course, the food was the star of the show. Everything we tried tasted authentically Italian, with the kind of care that lets great ingredients speak for themselves. We started with the fish soup and bruschetta, both of which were delicious and set the tone perfectly for the meal. We then enjoyed dishes featuring homemade pasta, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. You could really taste the tradition and passion behind the cooking; we finished with the most traditional of Italian desserts, tiramisu, creamy and Moorish!

Of course, we can’t forget to mention that the drinks deserve a special mention too. Stefania has an impressive and extensive wine list, with plenty of wonderful Italian choices to complement the food perfectly. We also enjoyed the delicious cocktails, which were beautifully made and a lovely way to begin the evening. There really is something for everyone.

One of the highlights of the evening was meeting Chef Diego, who was absolutely charming, friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. We loved discovering that owner Diego named the restaurant after his mother, Stefania, which gave the restaurant an even more personal feel. There is something particularly lovely about experiencing a restaurant where family and a genuine love of food are such an important part of its identity.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the price point, which we felt was very good considering the quality of the food, the setting and the overall experience. Stefania manages to feel special and sophisticated without being stuffy or overly formal.

All in all, it was a fantastic evening: beautiful authentic Italian food, homemade pasta, a gorgeous setting, friendly service and a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere, topped off by meeting Diego and getting a little glimpse into the family story behind the restaurant.

Stefania is a real gem, and we would absolutely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine taste of Italy in London!
