There are certain places on Ibiza that you go to and others that you really don’t want to leave, and Beachouse is very much one of the latter. It’s located directly on the sand at Platja d’en Bossa and has the delightful charm of making you forget about all that is going on beyond the beach; as soon as we got there, the pace slowed down. The sunshine, the sea, the fabulous food, the very good rosé and indeed nowhere else did we need to go.

Beachouse truly demonstrates what Ibiza is all about without falling into the ordinary clichés; the place has a welcoming atmosphere, with a laid-back style and a touch of bohemian charm, so that it’s easy to forget how much time has passed, as you lose yourself in the ambiance.

Seaside Dreams & Sandy Scenes

The place is incredible; there’s truly something special about having your feet in the sand with the Mediterranean stretching out in front of you. Beachouse makes the most of its location without making it too complicated.

The highlight is the way the day progresses naturally. You can turn up for lunch, then go down to the beach afterwards, order another drink, or four, and immediately realise that several hours have gone by. And frankly, that’s precisely the kind of thing you want in Ibiza.

Boho Vibes & Barefoot Style

The interiors have the attractive, laid-back Beachouse style, with natural textures, warm colours, rattan, linen and a lot of little details which make everything seem thought out without being overly refined.

It gets the balance just right: effortlessly stylish, wonderfully barefoot and relaxed enough that arriving in beachwear feels like the obvious choice.

The mood changes with the sun. Mornings are blissfully slow, lunchtime brings a little more buzz, and by late afternoon there’s that unmistakable Ibiza magic in the air. I completely lost track of time, which, for a beach day, is pretty much the point.

Feasts, Sips & Sunshine Bites

The lunch was precisely what I had wanted—it was long, relaxed, and mainly focused on sharing. We started off sharing the summer tomato salad with those salty Kalamata olives and a zingy touch of fermented lemon, then couldn’t resist the linguine alle vongole. Every dish felt made for slow, happy eating while you linger over a cool drink. The menu nails that Mediterranean vibe, but there are enough unexpected little touches to keep you guessing.

Miraval’s rosé definitely deserves a shout-out. Sipping a cold glass of it on a beach bed, sun on my skin and the sea right in front of me, felt like pure luxury—especially with that rare, blissful feeling of having nowhere else I needed to be.

And I have to mention the team, who kept us topped up with chilled canned water all day. It might seem like a small thing, but those thoughtful touches really make a difference when you’re completely settled in and don’t want to move an inch.

Where Time Melts Away

Beachouse is designed so that it can carry out a minimal amount of things, but always well. During the afternoon we were on the beach, going in and out of the sea, drinking rosé and allowing the hours to vanish.

There’s no need to be busy all the time; in fact, doing absolutely nothing seems to be the main idea. It’s a kind of afternoon when you figure you’ll stay for an hour only to find that hours have passed by the time you’ve actually stayed.

The Magic Makers

What sets Beachouse apart is its staff; they were fantastic from the beginning to the end, always warm, attentive and truly friendly without being too intrusive.

The service has a naturally effortless quality to it; you sense that you are being looked after without being disturbed. Whether it was refilling our water supply, replacing our wet, sandy towels, or just being a friendly face, guiding us as we went from the restaurant to the beach, the staff made the entire experience seem extremely memorable.

In my opinion, that is exactly what good hospitality ought to achieve: it should make you feel as though all has been looked after, even if you never actually notice it.

The Ibiza Afterglow

Miraval’s rosé was honestly the star of the show. There’s just something about sipping that chilled pink wine, toes in the sand and sunlight bouncing off the water, that turns an ordinary afternoon into something kind of magical.
