Transforming a Bathroom with Nôsa

From warm walnut finishes and sculptural stone to elegant gold detailing, discover how Nôsa Bathrooms is bringing contemporary luxury to a traditional cottage renovation.

There is something incredibly exciting about transforming an older property into a home that reflects your own personal style. From carefully selecting materials to finding those statement pieces that bring a room together, every decision plays a part in creating a space that feels both beautiful and practical.

At Llanerch Cottage, an early 1800s property undergoing a complete renovation, the vision has always been to combine traditional character with modern comforts and timeless interiors.

With the renovation progressing from major structural work to the finer details, attention has now turned to one of the most anticipated spaces in the house: the bathroom.

For this transformation, we’ve chosen a beautiful selection of pieces from Nôsa Bathrooms, bringing together natural textures, warm walnut tones and sophisticated gold accents to create a space inspired by luxury boutique hotels.

A Statement Piece: The Florence Walnut Vanity

At the heart of the bathroom design is the Nôsa Florence 1200mm Walnut Vanity Unit with Stone Basin, a striking piece that perfectly balances contemporary styling with natural warmth.

The rich walnut finish introduces an inviting, organic feel, while the beautifully contrasting stone basin brings a clean, elegant finish to the design.

Measuring 1200mm wide, the vanity offers generous countertop space and four spacious soft-close drawers, combining everyday practicality with a refined aesthetic.

For a property like Llanerch Cottage, where maintaining a sense of warmth and character is just as important as creating a modern interior, the combination of walnut and stone feels particularly fitting.

The vanity has now been installed, marking an exciting milestone in the bathroom transformation. Even before the finishing touches are complete, it is already becoming the focal point of the room.

Adding a Touch of Gold

While the vanity provides the foundation of the design, the smaller details are equally important in bringing the overall vision together.

The Nôsa Voss Knurled Single Lever Basin Tap in Gold was selected to complement the warm walnut cabinetry and stone basin.

Its textured knurled detailing introduces an interesting design element, adding character without overpowering the space.

Gold finishes have become a popular choice in contemporary bathroom interiors, offering an alternative to traditional chrome while introducing a softer, warmer appearance.

Paired with natural wood and stone, the result is a beautifully balanced combination that feels luxurious without being overly extravagant.

The Finishing Touch: The Faro Brushed Gold Mirror

Completing the design will be the Nôsa Faro Brushed Gold Round Mirror with Light, 800mm.

A round mirror was an important part of the original bathroom vision, helping to soften the clean lines of the vanity and create a more relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The brushed gold finish will tie in beautifully with the basin tap, while the integrated lighting will add another layer of functionality to the space.

Positioned above the walnut vanity, the mirror is set to become another standout feature, bringing the different design elements together.

With the surrounding tiling and lighting still to be completed, the finishing touches will play a significant part in revealing the overall look.

The Renovation Journey Continues

Renovating an entire property is certainly no small undertaking, particularly when working with an older cottage. But seeing individual rooms begin to take shape makes the process incredibly rewarding.

With the Nôsa vanity now in place and the remaining bathroom features still to come, the transformation is well underway. And while there is still work to be done, one thing is already clear: the combination of walnut, stone and gold is proving to be a beautiful choice for this country cottage renovation.

We look forward to sharing the completed bathroom and taking a closer look at how these carefully selected pieces perform in everyday life.
